Agent Carter Cancelled: ABC Reveals Agent Carter Not Renewed For Season 3 In a SHIELD Episode?

Is Agent Carter cancelled? While there seems to be quite a few diehard fans of ABC’s comic book inspired series Agent Carter online, the sad truth is that not too many people tune in to watch the show every week on ABC, and its ratings are dismal. After the latest episode of SHIELDS aired on ABC, and a core character’s death perplexed viewers, general consensus on the internet is that ABC has cancelled the drama and has just not yet made an official announcement.

If you have been following TV news, then you know ABC has already renewed the majority of their primetime shows, including Agent Carter’s sister show Agents of SHIELD. TV By The Numbers has released their Renew//Cancellation Index, in which they calculate the odds of a show getting renewed by the network. According to the website’s predictions for Agent Carter, there is a measly 10% chance that the drama will be renewed for Season 3.

Agent Carter’s low ratings, combined with the death of Peggy Carter, could be solid proof that the show is dead over at ABC. During a recent episode of Agents of SHIELD, the writers casually dropped a bomb on viewers, and depicted a photo of Agent Carter’s obituary. Was it just a clever way of tying together the two shows, or was ABC trying to give fans some closure because they have already come to the conclusion that Agent Carter is cancelled and there will not be a third season?

Right now the cast and crew at Agent Carter is remaining mum on the future of the show. There is a chance that TPTB at the network have not even shared their fate with them yet. Regardless, we will know for certain on May 17 when ABC unveils their primetime schedule for 2016-2017. So Agent Carter fans, do you think that the show has been cancelled?
