“American Gothic” continues with tonight’s episode “Christina’s World.” Tonight’s episode starts with Alison and her campaign manager having sex. Alison receives a call from Madeline, informing her of Gunther’s death. Brady investigates the scene of Gunther’s death. He hands over the infamous belt picture of Gunther and Cam as proof that Gunther was the Silver Bells Killer. Tessa urges Madeline to tell the police about the bells, but Madeline tells her that she had Gunther destroy the bells. Alison arrives, agreeing with Madeline that they shouldn’t mention the silver bells they found. Madeline says that they can’t know for sure that Brady’s loyalties are with them and not with his job.Cam receives a text message from Tessa telling him that Gunther is dead and presumably the Silver Bells Killer. Since Jack is away at camp, Sophie and Cam indulge in booze and drugs.

Madeline arrives at Alison’s campaign headquarter to discuss strategy: the woman who was injured in the tunnel collapse has filed suit against Hawthorne Concrete. Madeline tells Alison that pre-litigation discovery could uncover some secrets that would cause them to be liable for millions and damage her campaign. Alison confesses that Tom is now the new owner of Hawthorne Concrete. Madeline says that their only choice is to make this lawsuit go away for good.
Brady apologizes to Tessa for stealing her hair and performing a DNA test. Alison and Tom argue about his purchase of Hawthorne Concrete. They go to visit Ms. Tyler to discuss her pending lawsuit. Tom offers her an out of court settlement of $200,000 which Alison raises to $1 million. Ms. Tyler instead demands $50 million instead and the couple agrees to move on to Plan B.
Caramel’s owner meets with Brady about Jack cutting off his tail. Meanwhile, Cam receives a visit from Sophie’s drug dealer, who says he is owed $4,000. When Cam says he doesn’t have the money, the drug dealer beats him up and tells Cam he has twenty-four hours to pay. Caramel’s owner is unceremoniously told to leave after she mentions that Gunther was treated at Fisher Hill hospital, which may indicate he was not the serial killer.
Alison and Tom discover a series of pay-offs hiding the defective nature of the concrete used in the tunnel. A safety inspection report for the tunnel was signed by the current mayor, who Alison then confronts about his corrupt dealings. The two agree to work together to take down Ms. Tyler.
Sophie and Cam discuss the drug dealer’s payment. Cam says that he will get the $4,000 to pay off the dealer. Tessa tells Madeline that she no longer wants to have a baby with Brady after his betrayal about the DNA sample. Madeline tells her that she should go ahead and have a baby. Meanwhile, Garret continues stalking Christina at a local bar. She confronts him about following her, but seems unbothered by his obsessive attention. She tells him that she just found out that Gunther, her father’s killer, is dead. The two have sex to celebrate his death.At Fisher Hill hospital, Brady digs into Gunther’s medical records, which show that he was in a body cast during the killings. He also discovers that Gunther was dying of lung cancer and only had a few months left to live. The detectives consider that the real SBK might have bribed Gunther to kill himself, taking the blame as being the killer.

Garret, seeing the bruises on Cam’s face, asks what happened. Cam tells Garret that he has to ask Madeline for the money to pay Sophie’s dealer. Instead, Garret asks for, and receives, the money from Madeline. Tessa calls Brady and says she forgives him and wants to go ahead and start a family. Christina and Garret go on a picnic and discuss her father’s death. She tells Garret that she was the one who found her father’s body. Ms. Tyler meets with Alison and the current mayor. Ms. Tyler rejects their $1 million settlement offer until she is shown a drunken video of herself that they have uncovered: she was on probation for a DUI at the time. Ms. Tyler accepts the offer and drops the lawsuit against them. Madeline receives a mysterious card telling her to come meet the sender or else the sender will come to her. Tom discovers Naomi’s clothing in their bed and Alison confesses that the two had sex which Tom is delighted to hear.
Back at the police department, Brady discovers that the DNA results of Tessa’s hair is for a Hispanic woman, and he is accused of falsifying the test. Brady asks Dana to tell Linda that she made a mistake for the test. Cam goes to pay Sophie’s dealer but learns that Sophie had sex with him to pay for the drugs. Cam beats him with a metal pipe and then confronts Sophie about her actions, resulting in a fight. Brady confronts Tessa about putting someone else’s hair in her brush and tells her that Gunther was not SBK. He tells her that if anyone in her family is connected to SBK that he is going to make sure they go to prison. Garret goes to Christina’s apartment and while the two undress, Garret pauses, caressing his belt and staring at Christina.
