On tonight’s episode of “America’s Got Talent” with special guest judge George Lopez, the judges will watch twenty acts perform, narrowing down the contestants to seven acts that will progress to the live shows.

The first act to perform was Jose and his dog Carrie who danced to Buster Poindexter’s “Hot, Hot, Hot.” Mel B. and Heidi both expressed skepticism that the act was up to the same standards as the other contestants. Next up was 17-year-old singer Daniel Joyner who broke out of his shell and wowed the judges with his soulful performance.

Ilan and Josh received a lukewarm response to their beatbox routine while The Finest Family’s breakdancing also failed to achieve the acclaim they received from their last performance. Then magician Blake Vogt dazzled with his dollar bill tricks.

Mother and son dance team Alla and Daniel Novikov impressed the judges with their talent and choreography. Rose and Charles performed Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” receiving a red X from Heidi after an uncomfortable striptease, but laughs from the other judges.

Mason Bumba performed karate during the break impressing the judges with his technical expertise. Up next was Tape Face whose bizarre antics continue to make him a crowd favorite, earning him a comparison to Charlie Chaplin from Simon.

Girl group Good Girl performed “This Is How We Do It” receiving a tepid response from the judges. Singer and pianist Dominique Dy also failed to impress the judges with her performance. Madison Watkins was the next contestant to perform and her moving song received high praise from the judges.

Up next was the Argentinian guy group Malevo who danced and drummed their way through Marilyn Manson’s “Beautiful People” receiving a standing ovation from the crowd and the majority of the judges. Guest judge George Lopez awarded their outstanding performance with a Golden Buzzer, sending them straight to the live show.After the break Ian Stewart combined a crossbow with circus performing, receiving a red X from Mel B.

The next contestants were danger duo Ryan Stock and Amberlynn whose act included putting a blowtorch out on his tongue and swallowing the blade of a chainsaw receiving mixed reviews from the judges.

Comedian Al Ducharme fizzled with his act and comedian Ryan Beard received a red X from Simon. Up next was another comedian, Sam Morril, who got lots of laughs from the judges. The last act of the night was singer Brian Justin Crum whose rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep” was meet with cheers and tears from the crowd and judges.
