Anthony Michael Hall Charged with Battery Faces Up to Seven Years Prison Time

Anthony Michael Hall could be facing up to seven years in prison for allegedly beating up his neighbor if convicted and sentenced. In September, Hall was caught on video in a confrontation at their Playa del Rey condo where he shoved his neighbor to the ground.

Apparently, Anthony Michael Hall was triggered by his condo gate being left open. According to the victim, Hall shouted to close the gate, came over to the gate, slammed it shut and then began the meltdown.

On the video you can clearly see the “Breakfast club” actor arguing with his neighbor when basically out of nowhere the neighbor goes flying backwards and after Anthony storms away. The whole ordeal allegedly left the victim with a broken wrist and an injured back.

The district attorney has charged Anthony Michael Hall with felony battery with serious bodily injury. The charge usually carries a max of four years but there are special circumstances that bring it to seven. The neighbor placed a temporary restraining order against him but failed to show up to court for an extension so the hearing was dismissed.

The actor seems to have a bit of an anger problem because this is not the first incident he was involved in and it probably won’t be the last since little to no action is taken against him. In 2011 it was reported that Hall was a horrible neighbor constantly challenging people to fights and reportedly screaming obscenities at people who pass by.

Hall is known as a difficult neighbor in his complex and TMZ reported that he was flipping off and even trying to squirt people with a water hose as they passed by. All for no apparent reason! The actor even yelled at people in the complex and pounded on his neighbor’s doors. All of Hall’s bad behavior got him in some trouble because a neighbor ended up making a citizen’s arrest to which he was booked on suspicion of disturbing the peace and released shortly thereafter.

The “Weird Science” actor has had complaints made about him to the homeowner’s association of his complex but even though this has been going on for over five years now, he hasn’t been asked to leave. A neighbor even revealed that “I’ve considered buying a gun to stay safe from Hall. He’s the scariest person I’ve ever encountered in my life.”

What do you think is Anthony Michael Hall’s problem? Why do you think the homeowner’s association lets him stay? Let us know your opinion in the comment section below.
