Barry Manilow was rushed to the hospital on February 10 due to complications that the singer had with an oral surgery a few days prior. Manilow was in Memphis Tennessee – although he performed his concert before heading back to Los Angeles, he was forced to cancel his remaining concerts in Nashville due to the unexpected medical emergency.
Barry Manilow’s official Facebook page shared this message with his fans – to let them know what is going on with the iconic singer: “Following a triumphant sold out concert in Memphis, Barry Manilow was rushed back to Los Angeles due to complications from emergency oral surgery that Manilow had on Monday.”
The post went on to say that his remaining concerts in Tennessee (which were scheduled for February 11 and 12) will be rescheduled – and fans should hold on to their tickets.
According to Barry Manilow’s website, it is not clear whether or not the legendary singer will be able to make it to the Grammy Awards on Monday February 15 – he received a nomination for his most recent album “My Dream Duets.” Of course, Barry’s fans flooded his Facebook page with well wishes and concerned notes – wishing him a speedy recovery.
It’s still kind of vague what exactly happened to Barry, and what he even had oral surgery for in the first place. He did perform an entire concert before he was rushed back to Los Angeles – so there is a good chance that whatever issues he is having, are not TOO severe.
Several fans flooded social with photos and videos from his concert on February 10 – and no one had any complaints or mentioned that Barry wasn’t performing up to par.
