Heather was right when she said that something would have to give what with everyone’s crazy work schedules as well as the possible bounty on Vincent however Cat was just now realizing that she might have to give up more than she imagined in order to jungle everything on tonight’s episode of “Beauty and the Beast”.

Cat apparently had babies on the brain. Meaning she has begun to notice young women with children at the local coffee shop and an occasionally sigh might escape whenever Vincent tells her about the new baby he delivered. Yet, what was causing Cat to think about babies and whether or not she was going to be able to have one was that she fact she was late. As in the other yet certain kind of late. So Heather had tried to get her sister to take a pregnancy test just so that they could have a piece of mind and that could have allowed them to focus on the more important thing, but Cat was doing her best to put the test off.

Cat had told her sister that she was too busy with work so that also meant she was too busy to pee on a little stick. So Cat was doing everything she could not to answer the pregnancy question though she was still putting her life at risk. Deputy Secretary Hill had called her about an urgent meeting at the office and so Cat had showed up expecting him to see there seeing as he had actually used the words “urgent”. But it turns out Hill had never made into the office and his secretary hadn’t seen or heard from him all day. And therefore the only reason Hill hadn’t showed up like he said was because something must be wrong.

However, Vincent hadn’t really appreciated getting pulled from work. He was working a lot of double-shifts lately to cover up for the shifts he had to miss while helping Cat. So Vincent eventually wanted to get a handle on everything before it overwhelmed him yet there hadn’t been much choice when his wife told him that it was Hill that was in trouble. Hill has been working with them to find the bounty hunters and investigate the mysterious benefactor that had put millions on Vincent so Vincent really couldn’t just leave him to die. He had to help.

And help he did. Vincent and Cat had gone to Hill’s apartment and they had found a gunmen holding him and his family hostage in order to get Hill to reveal who was the best. Though thanks to both Cat and Vincent, the bounty hunter didn’t know who the beast was until Vincent threw him off a balcony. So technically that should have been enough yet it hadn’t been because the bounty hunter‘s friends now know that Hill can lead them to the beast and it seems they weren’t the only ones that caught to the fact that Hill knew more than he should have.

The blogsphere later blew up with a news of another assault on a DHS agent. So those that still believe that there was a beast out there and that government was hiding it suddenly seemed more credible. And JT who was monitoring all chatter had noticed that the attack on Hill had bolster some of the conspiracy theorists’ theories. Though unfortunately JT thought he could fix everything if he tried to lower suspicions by pretending to be a DHS agent that was willing to meet with those guys in person.

And not only would a real DHS agent never pander to those people, but they would at least have an online profile that proved they were who they said they were. So JT hadn’t actually thought his plan through and he saw the error of his ways after the bloggers ended up kidnapping him. The bloggers had thought that JT was putting them off the scent because he was the beast so they kidnapped him in order to get proof and it wasn’t until a tied up JT was throwing himself a pity party about how he had only been trying to help that they realize that he wasn’t the beast. He was just some guy that had a little too much free time.

But it turns out the real threat was never the bloggers, it was DHS. A bounty hunter had fed DHS the wrong information as a way to lure Vincent into a trap and sadly that plan worked. Hill who was still jumpy for obvious reasons had made what he thought was a connection between someone that might be the benefactor and someone in the city. So he hadn’t hesitated when he passed that same information onto Cat and naturally Cat shared that with her husband however it was all a trap. There wasn’t a connection because some Russian oligarch and Albert Toland. Albert was simply a hit man.

A hit man that faked a crisis knowing that those that knew about the beast or the beast would be there to try and rescue him before they used him to find information on the benefactor. So he had Vincent right where he wanted him and he had even gotten lucky with when he hit Vincent with one of the shots he fired off. Yet, Cat stopped Albert from killing her husband when she put a bullet into Albert so all that was left was for them to do was to create a plausible story. For both the official record and for Albert’s family. Albert’s wife Judy hadn’t known that her husband was a hitman. She had thought he was an accountant and that the reason they didn’t talk much anymore was because they lost most of their bond after they had children.

So Judy and her two little boys hadn’t known a single thing that Albert had really been up. However, Judy had frightened Cat because Cat had wondered if she and Vincent would become strangers passing in the night if they had kids so that convinced Cat to take the pregnancy test. And again it was a false alarm. Cat and Vincent were not pregnant and they were also a little disappointed about that. They have been thinking about and it seems that they both wish they could have something more traditional, but children just aren’t on the cards right now.

THE END!
