“Big Brother” alums Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder announced their baby’s gender in a series of cute pictures and videos. US Magazine revealed the parents-to-be are having a baby boy, and couldn’t be more thrilled about the new addition.
Jordan admitted that at first she felt “upset” about having a boy. Apparently, the “Big Brother 11” winner felt sure she was having a girl and revealed that she picked out a name for the princess. So when they told her that her baby is actually a BOY, she was in shock. “I don’t know what to do with a boy,” Jordan admitted.
Jeff disclosed they knew from the beginning they wouldn’t wait for the birth of the baby to find out the gender. They want to prepare for the birth, and of course, the nursery. Jordan explained, “This is our first kid, and we are not really anxious, just nervous. We admit we do not know what we are doing.”
At Jordan’s last ultrasound, she made the tech double (and triple) check for a penis. She wanted to make sure that she was having a boy after hearing so many stories about ultrasounds being wrong.
Lloyd and Schroeder met on the set of BB11 and got engaged during Season 16 on an emotional outside proposal. When she found out she was pregnant, they had an impromptu wedding at the courthouse in March. They quickly announced not only did they get married, but they are having a baby in the fall.
Jordan revealed that her baby is schedule to come on October 20. Instead of having a big wedding like planned, they decided to have a wedding ceremony next year with all their family and friends. “The bonus is, the baby will get to celebrate with us,” Jeff chuckled.
Until the bundle of joy arrives, the nervous parents have been gearing up for parenthood and mulling over potential names. Lloyd admitted that it’s becoming much more real to her in the past few weeks, and she cannot wait for her son to arrive.
