Blake Shelton’s a flirt, leaving many to assume his and Miranda Lambert’s failed marriage must have been due to the playboy’s extracurricular activities. But they may not be the case after hearing what Blake Shelton had to say in his recent interview about Miranda Lambert’s cheating with Billboard Magazine!
Shelton, who is now dating former No Doubt front lady Gwen Stefani, compared the break-up of his marriage to that of Stefani’s and her ex, Gavin Rossdale, who had an affair with the family’s nanny. Yes, it seems Blake Shelton has implicitly told his fans that Miranda Lambert cheated on him.
Shelton went on to explain how he and Gwen Stefani became close after he announced that he was getting a divorce to the cast and crew on The Voice. “I won’t forget that day,” he told Billboard. “I looked over at Gwen — who I didn’t really know — and she had these huge tears in her eyes. I thought, ‘Wow, she feels super bad for me!’”
It seems the two lovebirds had something in common and didn’t know until Shelton made the announcement that had Gwen Stefani asking him to talk alone. “She didn’t tell me much, because we didn’t know each other at the time, but she said, ‘I’m going through something very similar to what you’re going through. I understand. And I hate it,” Shelton explained. “That’s kind of how our friendship and bond started, that day.”
There is also Miranda Lambert’s recent emotional break-down on stage. The Vice singer began crying when she performed a song she co-wrote with Shelton. Miranda couldn’t stop the tears from coming on stage in Illinois on Friday night. The country star was perched on her seat with a guitar, singing her and Shelton’s track Over You.
The song is about the loss Shelton suffered as a kid when his younger brother died due to a car accident. “I told you I was a mess,” Lambert told the enormous crowd of fans while trying to pull herself together.
Miranda Lambert also took to Instagram last week to write a mysterious message to her fans about heartache, healing and dark places. An admission that she may still be trying to forgive herself from cheating on Blake Shelton?
It looks like Miranda Lambert will have more to get over now that Blake Shelton has declared Gwen Stefani the one that saved his life. According to People, he also called the platinum blonde singer “all he cares about.”
