The Reagans were put in an unfortunate condition on tonight’s episode of “Blue Bloods”. Apparently, everyone was forced into dealing with someone they just don’t like but have to work with. And it didn’t help that there were others taking sides in these professional conflicts.

Frank, you see, was hosting a task force that was supposed to give the British police insights on how they too can protect their cities form another terrorist attack. Yet there had been this one British officer that seemingly demand more from Frank and the NYPD than they had been willing to give. And she directly challenged Frank to be honest with her because she said she wanted to know what he truly dreads.

So Frank told her that while he understood both her tone and bluntness, what the Irish in him truly dreaded was someone making demands in a British accent. Therefore, the two did not get off of the right footing and Frank suddenly found himself having to prove something. When technically they were all supposed to be on the same side.

Meanwhile Jamie found himself performing a favor for Danny. For Danny it seems had been saved over in Iraq back when he was serving in the army by a man that he still feels indebted to. Only Corporal Jimmy Beal died several years ago so Danny then decided to look after Jimmy’s son as a way to repay the man.

The young man had recently graduated the academy and had also been placed in the same precinct as Jamie. So Danny had asked his brother to take Marcus under his wing and try to make sure he didn’t get into trouble, but Marcus was a bit of a hot head. And he ultimately tried Jamie’s patience.

The rookie as it turns out tended to walk around the precinct as if he knew everything already and that he didn’t need anyone to tell him what to do. Yet, he still made numerous mistakes. Like getting out of the patrol car when Jamie told him not to and then knocking down pedestrians because he had been too caught up in capturing the guy they got a call about.

And sure he made a collar which looked good professionally speaking, but he also landed a girl in the hospital with twelve stiches. She had been one of the people that Marcus had knocked down so Jamie had tried to tell the young man that his recklessness came as cost as well as the fact he ignored protocol by going against a senior officer’s direct command. But Marcus actually got in his face as if he was prepared to fight Jamie while they were still both on the clock.

Marcus fend for himself and was fine with making that judgement call when, again, Danny came to him. Only that time Danny had tried to tell his brother that if he hadn’t spoken down to Marcus, Marcus would be better receptive.

But they both knew that wasn’t going to be the case. Marcus had apparently been bounced around several times and it had been Danny that had placed Marcus in Jamie’s unit. So they also both knew that Marcus time at Jamie’s precinct would be his last chance.

And yet Marcus later threw that away. The twelfth had gotten a call about an armed robbery and so Marcus had run into Jamie and Jenko again. And again Jamie had tried to give him an order that in this case would have meant no one got hurt.

Though he was ignored and Marcus nearly got himself shot. So that’s when Jamie had enough and, when he found Marcus afterwards still in shell shock, he saw the young man holding a resignation letter. And told him that handing that in would be the smartest thing he’s done thus far.

Even if Danny happened to disagree!

Elsewhere, however, Erin was pushed into taking on case that put her at odds with Anthony. Anthony it seems had a cousin that had promised several NYPD officers that he could turn around their investments into profit. Yet the truth was Anthony’s cousin was a crook that has been scamming people for years.

So Erin was forced to break the news to Anthony and together they were put in a positon that neither of them wished to be. For its not like they could have ignored the crime. They had to report it and more importantly they had to arrest this cousin.

And that’s what they ended up doing. Even if meant using Anthony’s aunt in order to trap the cousin before he could get away. Probably to some country that didn’t have an extradition agreement with the U.S. for instance.

While Frank did find a reason to look kindly on Commander Thompson. And once her bosses not to make the second trip to Washington because they didn’t want to hear she had gotten out of line again, that freed her up to go out on a date with Frank.

So Frank for one definitely enjoyed his visit with the British and wouldn’t mind another one if anyone were to ask.

THE END!
