The infamous serial killer Thomas Wilder was back on the radar. Apparently the FBI had found his latest dumping ground out in Nassau County on tonight’s all new episode of “Blue Bloods”. And it seems that Thomas has been very busy since he managed to evade Danny Regan.

Nine bodies had been found by time Danny had made it out to Nassau and the FBI were still looking for more as he arrived. So Thomas didn’t go on a break or possibly just give up entirely. Instead he had kept on his killing spree and it was revealed that he’s going through something called an escalation period. That’s where he begins to kill more and have shorter cooling off periods so the FBI’s Behavioral Analyst said Thomas was working towards something. And yet the FBI had created a major taboo when they began to investigate this case without even once making a phone call to Frank’s office.

Which was more than a little offensive. However, it appears that the FBI hadn’t wanted to bother go through the proper channels and that they would have in fact ignore their obligation to notify the Police Commissioner if he hadn’t found out on his own accord. So Frank’s office called the agent in charge of the investigation and he had Agent Alexander Clune come down to 1 Police Plaza. And explain himself.

Only Agent Clune didn’t think he had to. The agent said that they knew Thomas Wilder has already killed over twenty-two people in over four states and so he believed New York no longer had claim on Walder. What with crimes officially crossing state lines. But Frank had surprised him when he told him differently. Frank had said they had an ongoing case against Thomas and the FBI were going to be working with his detectives rather than ignoring him.

So what Frank had done was get Danny a new albeit temporary partner. A partner Danny hadn’t wanted and who eventually got under his skin. Apparently the Behavioral Analyst had taken a look at Thomas’s escalation and had blamed Danny for it. He said if Danny hadn’t challenged him and in this case pushed him to go on then everything would have probably been over the second Thomas had killed his mother.

Usually serial killers needed an outlet for their rage and in one case there had been a serial killer that had literally turned himself in after killing his own mother. Yet, that hadn’t had happened in the case because Thomas found a reason to continue and the FBI’s very best thought Danny was that reason. He said Thomas wanted to build a relationship of sorts with Danny and, even though Danny tried to deny it, Thomas had later killed him.

Thomas had wanted to know if Danny had gotten his last few presents because he had been the to one to notify the police with an anonymous phone call about the bodies in Nassau. But Thomas didn’t call to gloat exactly. He had just wanted Danny to be personally on the phone while he found his latest victim. And for Danny to overhear how the gullible the girl was right before she died yet not be able to do anything that could save

And he couldn’t save her. The police had sadly found her body out in the woods and what’s worse is that a journalist had showed up at the scene. Apparently Thomas had dropped off a note for her as well as for Danny and it said that Detective Danny Regan didn’t know how to protect him. So Danny had been asked by the Analyst not to response. He said that anything Danny would say would feed into Thomas’s delusion however Danny had ignored that warning.

Danny had gone on record to the papers that he believed Thomas was a “sicko” with mommy problems and it seems Thomas believed Danny crossed a line. He had called Danny after reading the story for himself and he had told the detective that he decided to match up with Danny by brining family into this. Only Danny thought Thomas would go after his wife and sons when instead Thomas went after Nicky.

Thomas’s MO was women between eighteen and twenty-two. Yet, Danny hadn’t remembered that MO until he had checked on his family and had realized that they had been ok. So that’s when he asked himself why would Thomas lie about bringing family into thing if he’s never backed down from a challenge before. And so he only remembered his niece after the fact.

Then went rushed to her apartment it had been too late to protect her. Unfortunately, Thomas had been wearing a fake uniform when he kidnapped her and no one questions a man in uniform. Not even Nicki herself who was currently dating a police officer. So her internal alarms didn’t go off until Thomas had gagged her and put her in the trunk of his car.

So there was a lot that her uncle Danny and her grandfather wanted to do to fine her, but Frank didn’t want to misuse his position to do what he liked. He knew he couldn’t call in aviation reinforcements therefore he didn’t and honestly doing the right thing hadn’t sat well. However, Thomas hadn’t wanted to hurt Nicky. He had merely wanted to use her to draw Danny out.

Danny had been notified that Nicky’s phone could be traced and so it had followed the lead to some deserted fields. Only Nicky had been left in the truck of the car, safe, and her captor had gone off into the fields hoping Danny would chase him. It seems Thomas had wanted to cement their special bond. He had his hands behind his back so he told Danny that if he shoots him then he could be shooting an unarmed man yet if he doesn’t then Thomas could possible a weapon of his own.

Either way, thought, Thomas had made it clear that Danny’s name would always be associated with Thomas’s. So Danny had to take a risk. He saw Thomas withdraw his hands from behind his back and he decided to take the shot. And even Erin didn’t later fight him when he said it had been a good shoot as in he had believed his life had been in danger.

And so everyone got to walk away with their careers still intact. Earlier, Erin had reunited a man with a father he hadn’t seen in over thirty years and had actually thought was dead. So Erin was considered to be spotless and both her brother and her father were considered to heroes after Thomas’s reign of terror came to an end.

THE END!
