‘Dancing with the Stars’ Cheryl Burke confesses that Ian Ziering was the worst ‘DWTS’ partner ever. Cheryl reveals she wanted to kill herself and begged producers to eliminate the pair.
TMZ obtained audio from Cheryl’s podcast with ‘Allegedly’ with hosts Theo Von and Matthew Weiss which will be released on Tuesday, April 19 on iTunes. Cheryl makes some shocking revelations about her ‘DWTS’ season 4 partner, starting with how the pronunciation of Ian’s name drove Cheryl nuts.
“The fact that his name’s not EE-AN but EYE-AN makes me want to throw up,” Cheryl told Matt and Theo. Spending time with the pompous actor 8 to 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, for three months was absolute torture the professional dancer divulged.
The hosts agreed that Ian is pretty full of himself. “He p***ed me off on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ too. He always bothered me. [Ian’s] pretty captivating though. When you’re talking to him, he’s very intense and in the moment. He wants you to think he’s like an actor.”
Ian Ziering and Cheryl Burke made it all the way to the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ semi-finals before being eliminated. “It made me want to slit my wrists” Cheryl revealed. No amount of pleading or crying would get the producers to automatically eliminate the dancing duo.
There was just no way executives could force Ian and Cheryl out of the dancing competition. “I swear, every time I’d ask we’d just keep going. We lasted till the end.”
Did Cheryl Burke consider asking people not to vote for Ian in order in order to put an end to the torture? The thought did cross Cheryl’s mind but in the end she claims she didn’t sabotage Ian Ziering. Cheryl continued on ‘Dancing with the Stars through season 19 despite the problems she had with Ian in season 4.
‘Allegedly’ hosts Matt Weiss and Theo Vonn did interview Cheryl Burke about her favorite partner and a lot of other “Hollywood stuff” but we will need to wait until April 19 to hear more revelations from Cheryl Burke.
