Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) Recap 9/26/16: Season 23 Episode 3 "Face Off Night"

Tonight on ABC  the glitz and the glitter returns to the ballroom as Dancing With The Stars returns with an all-new Monday, September 26, 2016, season 23 episode 3 and we have your Dancing With The Stars recap below!  On tonight’s DWTS Season 23 episode 3 it’s Face Off night, pitting the couples against each another in dance-offs.

On tonight’s DWTS episode as per the ABC synopsis, “An exciting, brand-new theme night comes to the show, as the 12 remaining celebrities find themselves pitted against each other in a quest to keep themselves immune from elimination, as Face Off night comes to “Dancing with the Stars.”

Tonight, the celeb dancers will be facing off against each other. The first dances will be the jives, and they have matched up two singers, Babyface and Jana Kramer. (VIDEO HERE)

Babyface and Allison take the stage first dancing the jive to “Great Gosh A Mighty”, by Little Richard. Then, Jana Kramer and Gleb perform their jive to “Too Many Fish In The Sea” by The Marvelettes.

Rick Perry takes the stage in his Matador suit with his pro partner Emma Slater and dances the Paso Doble, Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson are up next, the perform the Paso Doble with a fun twist on the song “Save Tonight.”

We have a tie, and in the event of a tie tonight it is up to Len Goodman to decide which couple will win immunity this week. Len doesn’t have to think long, he announces that Vanilla Ice and Witney are the winners and can’t be eliminated.

The next celebrity face-off will be Ryan Lochte VS. James Hinchcliffe. (VIDEO HERE) Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke and James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess will both be dancing the Cha-Cha tonight. James and Sharna take the stage first and perform a fun twist on the song “Big Trouble.” Ryan and Lochte dance second, their Cha-Cha is much more series, and HOT, to the song “If It Ain’t Love” by Jason Derulo.

The Next celeb dancers to face off on Dancing With the Stars tonight are Terra Jole and Calvin Johnson. (VIDEO HERE) Terra and Calvin will both be dancing the Viennese Waltz. Calvin’s partner Lindsay Arnold has opted to go with a traditional Waltz, but she is having a tough time getting Calvin to be “delicate.” Terra Jole and her partner Sasha Farber are up first, they dance to the classic song “Iris.” Calvin Johnson and Lindsay dance their Waltz immediately after to the song “Woman’s World.”

Amber Rose and Maureen McCormick (VIDEO HERE) will be facing off next on the DWTS stage. Maureen has had a tough time during her rehearsals this week, she is in pain because of her back and seriously intimidated by Rose. Amber and Maks are up first, they dance the Salsa to Jennifer Lopez’s song “Big Booty.” Maureen McComick and Artem’s Salsa is a bit more traditional, they perform for the judges next.

Laurie has been stressed all week because her dance is very romantic, and she hasn’t had a lot of experience with guys. Laurie Hernandez and Val dance the Tango first to the song “Drive Into The Sunset.” Marilu Henner and Derek Hough dance last to the song “Battle Cry” by Imagine Dragons.
