Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that more behind-the-scenes shakeups are happening. If you’re a “Shelle” fan, prepare for a roller coaster of emotions. You’ve probably heard by now that Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle (Martha Madison) are set to make their onscreen departures soon.
Belle will consider Chad’s (Billy Flynn) offer to work in the Hong Kong division of DiMera Enterprises. Shawn won’t exactly back Belle up on this relocation idea. Hong Kong is certainly nothing like Salem. It’s funny that DOOL tends to send characters to nearby Chicago or halfway around the world. There’s rarely a happy medium.
This move would take them far away from their families. Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) will decide to attend college with her friends after all, so she’ll be staying in Salem. Shawn may be concerned about leaving their daughter during a rocky time in her life. Claire needs them around as she transitions into adulthood.
Nevertheless, this is an offer that Belle just can’t pass up. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Belle will accept the position and bid her parents farewell. John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) will share goodbye hugs with Belle before she heads off.
At some point, Shawn will likely rethink living without Belle by his side. He still wants to work on his relationship and being a long-distance couple would be tough at the moment. DOOL spoilers suggest that Shawn will also make his exit, but he’ll return a short time later.
This quick comeback wasn’t actually planned. Brandon Beemer was fired a few days after his new contract cycle began and that meant they’d have to pay him anyway. As a result, Beemer returned to film additional episodes. It appears Shawn will be Belle-less for a while. However, Belle will eventually make a return trip as well.
Exciting, right? Not so fast! Days of Our Lives buzz hints that Beemer and Madison may have filmed the last scenes of their next stint, too. It seems they were fired, rehired and fired again before they even made their first onscreen exit. The six-months-ahead taping schedule can get tricky!
It’s a shame that they won’t be sticking around indefinitely. Many Days fans were bummed to hear about Madison and Beemer’s first firing. Viewers will undoubtedly be disappointed if they’re truly out for good. Still, we’ll hold out hope that Shawn and Belle will pop back up one day. Surprise visits are always welcome in Salem.
Luckily, you can expect Shawn and Belle to be involved in some juicy storylines down the road. Their families will be in total turmoil and they’ll have to support them every step of the way. Things will really heat up on the NBC soap! Stay tuned for updates on what’s in store.
