Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Rafe (Galen Gering) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) will do whatever they can to help Hope (Kristian Alfonso). She received a sentence of 25 years without the possibility of parole, but Shawn and Rafe aren’t giving up. They’ll try to find a way to get Hope off the hook.
DOOL spoilers say Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) will eventually join the fight. What will all of their research lead to? Days fans watched Hope shoot Stefano (Joseph Mascolo), but what if there was some misdirection involved?
If someone else actually did the deed behind Hope, she was probably too out of it to notice. The flashbacks may be the version in Hope’s head. Maybe Rafe and Shawn will uncover security footage that puts another culprit at the scene of the crime. Stefano had many enemies and one of them may have been out for blood that night.
However, we can narrow down our suspect list considerably. It would have to be someone who was willing to let Hope take the fall. That probably eliminates anyone in the Brady clan or Horton family. Hope’s loved ones wouldn’t have let her land behind bars.
Victor (John Aniston) is likely out of the question, too. He wouldn’t let the love of Bo’s (Peter Reckell) life take the blame for a hit he ordered. Victor has softened considerably in recent years. It’s hard to imagine him taking Ciara’s (Vivian Jovanni) mother away from her. He’s always been quite fond of his grandkids.
Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who had a motive and was ruthless enough to make Hope believe she was Stefano’s killer. A couple of options immediately come to mind. Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) is an obvious contender. He’s on a somewhat better path these days, but he’s cruel at heart.
We know that Deimos played a role in putting Bo in captivity. He wanted to get the formula to Yo Ling (Tobin Bell) and receive the appropriate payout. Stefano claimed he had nothing to do with any of the Bo drama, but that may not be entirely true.
Days of Our Lives viewers can’t forget that Stefano hired Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) to make Hope forget about Bo. The reason was never fully explained. It might tie in the formula that Yo Ling was after. The medication controlled the symptoms of Topits disease and similar illnesses.
Patients with Alzheimer’s could be helped and it even gave them the ability to see into the future. That’s definitely a profitable opportunity. Perhaps Stefano also had a secret deal with Yo Ling that involved distracting Hope. If Stefano ended up with a bigger piece of the pie, Deimos might’ve wanted revenge.
Andre (Thaao Penghlis) is another option to consider. Could all of his grief be a charade? DOOL fans know that Andre has always been a bit power hungry. What if he decided it was time to take the DiMera throne? He could’ve killed his own father to speed the process along.
We saw Andre look for Stefano’s body, but maybe he was just getting the most out of this crime. If he was going to shoot Stefano, he might as well make Hope suffer in the process. That’s just how Andre rolls.
Andre may have had regrets after the shooting, which would explain his tearful moments. Days of Our Lives writers can do whatever they want if they’re going to change the story. It doesn’t necessarily have to line up with what’s already played out. They could even invent a new character to take responsibility.
