The second half of the season opens with Nick heading back out on his own, covered in blood with the bare minimum. He looks to be headed to Tijuana, a 100-mile trek.

We see Nick have a flash back to a day in rehab when he talks about his father’s absence mentally from his day to day life.

All of this walking has him thinking about the past.

He stops for the night in a building where he starts a fire, rests, and eats. He falls asleep but is awoken t an angry mother with a baseball bat who yells in Spanish that he needs to leave. She hits Nick several times with the bat until he runs off into the night.

On a highway, Nick manages to steal some water from a car with a zombie inside. Three guys show up with guns. Nick runs, they begin shooting, he makes it into the woods.

We see him make his way through the desert where he is forced to drink his own urine to hydrate. He continues to walk until nightfall until he finds a van to hide next to.

He has another flashback to rehab to the day his mother told him that his father dad.

Nick wakes up to 2 dogs trying to attack them. One gets him in the leg, but he manages to climb up and on top of the van. The dogs are attacked by zombies, who rip them apart and eat them while Nick watches from the van.

After they are finished with the dogs, Nick makes a noise that has the pack of zombies headed his way until a horn goes off in the distance. He hops down and eats some of the dog before taking a belt off of a paralyzed zombie coming his way.

He wraps his wounds from the dogs on his legs and begins walking the highway with the zombie herd. The scene is strange as Nick has moments of delusion.

The three guys from earlier arrive and begin shooting. One of them drops the bullets out of his gun after he spots Nick and is confused by him. The zombies begin to attack him and his friend who tries to help. Nick stays with the pack and watches as they eat them both.

The pack moves forward but Nick is too weak to move on, dropping to the ground and following backwards while human onlookers in the hill watch him with binoculars.

When Nick wakes, this time, it isn’t to dogs or danger, but heavy rain.

Saved from the rain, Nick walks again, making it into Tijuana.

It’s a ghost town with supplies. Or that’s what he thinks until the people from the hill with the binoculars come to his aid, giving him water before bringing him to someone they know can help.

Nick sees a doctor who then brings him to his community where kids are playing ball, things seem safe and there is food and people.

THE END!
