New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will soon be blackmailed over messing with Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) medication but the big question is, who is making the threatening calls and leaving terrifying messages for the mob mom? Is it Morgan or someone else?
When Ava’s phone rang from an unknown caller, she had Nikolas Cassadine on the brain and said his name, but that was based on nothing but the fact that she was thinking about him. In fact, she didn’t hear a voice at all and was just panicking because her guilt was getting to her.
Ava told Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) that she was terrified Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will find out what she did and choke the life out of her. Ava’s right. If Sonny finds out, she’s done for – he will murder her. That’s what Ava is thinking about when she deals with the phone call.
Someone knows what she’s done and plans to make her pay. But who is it that was following her and grabbed Morgan’s pill bottle out of the trash? Was it Morgan? GH fans know he’s alive and a recast is coming at some point, so it’s possible that Morgan is the one watching her.
Morgan would be furious to know that Ava was the one who masterminded his downfall that led to him stealing the car that exploded. But Morgan isn’t the only one that could be tormenting Ava. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has been investigating the car bombing.
It’s plausible that he was outside of Sonny’s house watching people come and go as part of his PI work. He might have heard or seen Sonny arguing with Ava and followed her. The hands that grabbed the medicine from the trash were in black gloves.
Then on a recent episode of GH, Curtis was seen wearing black leather gloves breaking into Sonny’s work office. Curtis in those gloves could be a sign that he was the one who recovered the medication or it could be that was a red herring to mislead fans.
Curtis is the kind of guy that might blackmail Ava to line his pockets and we know he needs the cash. On the other hand, Curtis could probably get more money from giving the info to Julian Jerome (William deVry) and protecting Ava rather than implicating her.

The other person that would love to see Ava go down in flames (and that has no alibi for the time the medication was recovered) is Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford). Nina hates Ava more than ever since Ava ran off the pregnant teenager that Nina was talking to about adoption.
Nina might be following Ava around looking for an opportunity to punish her for killing her baby dreams. If Nina saw Ava acting dodgy at the MetroCourt bar chatting with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), she might have followed Ava to see why she was so skittish.
