New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that things will get real between Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) now that Jason has found Curtis snooping in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office. Has Curtis triggered the return of Stone Cold?
If Curtis was snooping for the PCPD, that would be different. But once Jason discovers Curtis is working for Julian Jerome (William deVry), everything changes. The fact is, Jason and Curtis already have a history of violence between the two, so they are both on edge.
The first encounter between Curtis and Jason was back when Jason showed up at Wyndemere and found Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) manhandling Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco). Jason went ballistic on Nikolas and Curtis stepped in to stop him from killing Nik.
Jason brutally beat both Nikolas and Curtis. Later, Curtis told Hayden Barnes, “I’ve been in a lot of fights in my day. I’ve seen a lot of fights – and nothing like that. That guy is lethal and he’s totally out of control.” Then the night that Nikolas was found on the rocks, they had another run in.
Curtis was the one that called the cops to Wyndemere and told Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) that Jason and Sam were trespassing. That just aggravated things between them. This time, it’s Jason that finds Curtis trespassing, but Jason wouldn’t call the cops on Curtis.
Instead, he’ll threaten to take care of him personally. Curtis knows that Jason is a potentially lethal dude so he won’t take his threats lightly. When Jason finds Curtis in Sonny’s office, he knows he’s there with the intent to stir up trouble. Curtis will try and minimize his presence.
Curtis will also not want to confess that he’s there on Julian’s behalf since there has already been one attempt on his client Julian’s life. Curtis will challenge Jason, refuse to answer questions, and won’t respond well to threats. This makes Jason angrier.
Jason just came off a conversation with Sonny that left him fuming. Remember Sonny told Jason it’s his fault for Morgan’s death because he wouldn’t act as Sonny’s hit man enforcer and take out Julian for him like the good old days. Jason hated this, but sympathizes.
He’s trying to save Sonny from himself and thinks that investigating Morgan’s death and discovering that it was not Sonny’s hitman that left the bomb will restore Sonny’s peace of mind. Curtis is trying to prove it was Sonny’s hitman that planted the bomb.
That puts Curtis and Jason at cross-purposes and both know it. Curtis finds Jason scary but won’t like being directly challenged. These two tough guys will get into a major confrontation that infuriates Jason and puts Curtis on his radar – Julian was already a target.
Jason gets Stone Cold on Curtis which leaves the PI worried that he needs to watch his back so that Jason doesn’t take out both him and his boss Julian. How far will Jason go to pull Sonny out of his grief? Would he finish Julian off just to put an end to all of this?
