General Hospital Spoilers: Liz's Nasty Surprise, Rapist Back From Dark Past - Franco's Killer Urge Returns

New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) will soon get much closer but then a visitor to Port Charles causes trouble in their blossoming relationship that could see Franco returning to his old killer ways.

Some GH spoilers indicate that Liz gets a “nasty surprise” and it could be that the guy who raped her back in high school, Tom Baker. He’s currently in prison after a messy trial over things he did to Emily Quartermaine – but was never prosecuted for raping Liz. This was traumatic for Liz and life-changing.

The timeline is appropriate for Tom to be released from prison – the guy has probably been cooling his heels at Pentonville since 1998 when a prosecutor deal sent him away for quite a while. General Hospital spoilers hint that Franco is shocked and comforts Liz when she finds out what’s to come. Remember Liz recently revealed the rape trauma to Franco.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Blast From Liz's Past Turns Franco Dark - Killer Urge Returns

Liz will find out that someone from her past is showing up soon and she’s floored. Tom would be a good candidate since he’s the worst possible candidate to appear. Plus, the spoilers indicate that the person that shows back up in Liz’s life has him questioning if he’s good enough for Liz.

If it’s one of Liz’s ex-boyfriends, the list is slim. Zander Smith is dead and at this point, so is Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher). Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) showing up wouldn’t be a “nasty” event and neither would a comeback visit from Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson).

The only really evil person from Liz’s life that might show up to torment her is Tom. Franco just came clean to Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) about how horrible he feels about letting her think he raped her. Franco addressed Sam’s dislike of him to Jake Webber (Hudson West).

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Blast From Liz's Past Turns Franco Dark - Killer Urge Returns

Franco made it clear to Jake that Sam had a good reason to dislike him. If it’s Liz’s rapist that is coming back to Port Charles, that could set Franco off in a big way. It will have Franco wondering if he’s got too much in common with the guy that terrorized Liz as a teen and if he’s worthy of her.

Other General Hospital spoilers reveal that Franco goes out of his way to protect Liz so he could warn Tom to stay away from Liz. Franco might even channel his darkest serial killer urges to scare the guy away. Remember Franco recently did that to get the guard at Heather Webber’s prison to come clean.

Franco will walk a line of being scary enough to scare away Liz’s worst nightmare without going so dark that he scares Liz away. How will this development affect Liz and Franco’s relationship? It could bring them much closer and result in the “intimacy” between them that Franco craves – or it could split them for good.
