“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will soon have his woman Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) back along with her newborn son, but it will come at great cost to him. What will be the cost is what’s got us curious…
We know that Michael has a limitless capacity for violence. He’s killed before and would absolutely kill again if he felt it was necessary. Michael is more so the son of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) than of AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) in that respect.
Right now, Michael is working a side agenda with his brother Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to try and locate Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey V Parise). Michael wants to ensure Sabrina’s safety above all else – and that’s his priority.
Sonny, though, wants Carlos brought in at all costs so he can testify against Julian Jerome (William deVry). These separate agendas are on a collision course because it looks like Michael will have to make a drastic choice to save Sabrina.
Is the cost Michael pays more blood on his hands? We think so. Recent GH spoilers video shows a young man’s hand on a gun aiming it at someone. The hand does not belong to Sonny, Carlos or Julian. It’s lighter skinned with long fingers.
Gneral Hospital spoilers ask if that is Michael taking aim at Carlos? Michael would not hesitate to shoot Carlos if it was necessary to keep Sabrina safe and get her away from the former Jerome hit man. The problem is, killing Carlos utterly wrecks Sonny’s plan to get justice for Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan).
However, in a way, Sonny might come to see it as a positive. The only reason Sonny was going to let Carlos live was so he could testify against Julian. But with Carlos pushing up daisies, Sonny is free to go after Julian violently and get a bloodier and more satisfying retribution for Duke’s murder.
That sets up some great General Hospital storyline opportunities. Sonny and Julian in a bloody war would drag Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) into the fray. Carly is anti-violence right now and Sonny going after Julian to kill him could split them for good.
Plus, Sonny’s daughter Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) lives under Julian’s roof and Sonny’s other daughter Avery is half Jerome. Michael killing Carlos is not only the best thing for him and Sabrina – but also the best thing for GH fans.
Plus, Michael needs Carlos out of the picture for good. He wants to step up and be a father to Sabrina’s son. That means the real baby daddy needs to be gone – permanently. All of that will register in Michael’s mind when it comes down to a confrontation with Carlos.
There’s no scenario in Michael’s mind where Carlos surviving is a good thing. Michael is convinced that Carlos took Sabrina forcibly out of Port Chuck (although he didn’t), so Michael sees this as a hostage rescue mission – and killing the bad guy kidnapper makes sense.
If Michael can bludgeon his stepmother to death, shooting Carlos is easy peasy by comparison. And this time, there’s no one there to fake Carlos’ death so he can get away. Sabrina will be the only witness to Michael’s crime so he’ll be in the clear for now.
