“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers tease that Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) will become more than roommates very soon. We’ll need a knife to cut the sexual tension between those two and Scotty just might be a good pairing for wily Ava. Here’s why we like it.
First, more than anything in the world, Ava can’t stand Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Scotty really hates the Port Chuck mobster.
Second, Scotty loves kids and Ava’s got a couple of those. Scotty would love to be a stand-in dad for baby Avery.
Third, Scotty loves money and doesn’t have any while Ava is loaded.
Fourth and finally, Scotty is age appropriate and not dating her daughter Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). Julian Jerome (William deVry) seems to have adjusted to having Scotty around so that’s also a plus.
What would ice the cake for Ava, though, is that Sonny would absolutely hate knowing that Scotty is helping raise his daughter. Plus, Ava hooking up with Scotty could help her in her custody battle over Avery.
Sonny has been able to say in court that he offers a stable two parent home with him and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and that makes him a better parent. But if Ava has Scotty there with her, she’s also got a stable two parent home.
Scotty is a former DA and that plus Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) claiming Ava was a CI in the gun running deal and working for the cops shoots down any assertions by Sonny that Ava is still in the mob. Scotty could be everything that Ava needs right now.
One thing that’s a little weird, though, is that Franco (Roger Howarth) is Scotty’s son and Franco has a past with Ava. But since that’s ancient history and everyone in Port Chuck sleeps with one another, that shouldn’t be a barrier to this new love.
General Hospital spoilers ask how long will it be before Scotty is off that tiny couch and in Ava’s nice cushy bed with her? Keeping Scotty at her side and embarking on a new relationship with him is maybe one of the smartest choices Ava could make in her personal life.
We can’t wait to see Scotty and Ava get together but don’t expect them to be lovey dovey – those two are far too sarcastic and pragmatic for that sort of romance. Instead, we expect them to constantly challenge each other while enjoying their electric chemistry.
