The latest General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) is unable to fully celebrate the joy of her pregnancy news because she’s terrified that she’ll lose her baby to the Cassadine curse. Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) isn’t ready to buy into the curse theory, but things could still go awry.
Jason was suspicious that Sam was keeping a secret from him – and she is. Sam wanted to hold off on telling Jason about the baby until she had confirmation from Dr Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that her second malaria test had the all clear. But is there a shot that Sam and the baby are both okay?
General Hospital spoilers tease that Sam and Jason will soon face some trials. Jason got the word from Doc Finn that his malaria symptoms are mild and the drugs should clear him right up. But the side effects for a pregnant woman are much more severe than for a young healthy male like Jason.
On Monday’s GH, when Jason presses Sam to tell him why she’s so stressed out, she’ll relent and tell her sweetie that she has JaSam baby number two in her belly. This is good since Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) advised Sam NOT to keep the truth from Jason. And Liz is the voice of experience.
If anyone knows the downside of keeping the truth from Jason, it’s Liz Webber! But not to worry, Jason will sweet talk the truth out of Sam but she’ll also share that the baby may be at risk and that will keep their joy from being complete. This should be a 100% happy moment for JaSam, but it’s not.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Sam is worried that Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) curse is at work and their baby is at risk. Helena said she cursed, “those who begot you, and those you begat, and all those who touch you… will never know happiness in this life…”
For those of you who don’t know your “biblical” terms, begot and begat mean those who gave birth to you and those to whom you give birth. Sam’s parents aren’t in the picture, but now that Sam is pregnant, the “those you begat” piece of the curse could come into play – as least as far as Sam is concerned.
If Sam finds out she has malaria and her baby is at risk, she might feel like Helena’s curse has come for her. In a way, if Sam did contract an illness on Cassadine Island, it might really seem like Helena did this to Sam to punish her from beyond the grave.
But GH viewers know curses aren’t real and there’s a good chance that Helena’s not dead anyway, but considering all the trouble Luke and Laura faced after Helena cursed them at their wedding, there’s no telling.
Sam already went through a pregnancy crisis with Jason back in the day when she was pregnant with Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) baby Lila and the baby died. Then Danny Morgan had the leukemia scare plus Sam had already lost Jason to “death” although he eventually came back to her.
Sam has been through one tragedy after another, so GH fans are likely expecting another tough time ahead. Will Sam and Jason’s baby be healthy or will this be a scary few months to follow if she has contracted malaria?
