General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Why Is Jason an Out of Control Rage Monster - Helena Pulling Strings From Beyond?

“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) will continue to struggle with his increasingly volatile nature and wants answers. This is a Jason unlike any we’ve ever seen before – he’s not laid back kind-hearted Jake Doe, nor is he cool and calculating Stone Cold. He’s pretty much an angry rage monster. Why?

The answers may lie in the grave with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Could she be pulling Jason’s string from the great beyond? Let’s face it – Jason is not a likable guy recently. Sure Franco (Roger Howarth) overstepped giving Jake Spencer (Hudson West) a puppy, but Jason’s reaction was excessive.

And yes Franco prodded Jason beyond civil boundaries but most people wouldn’t respond by trying to choke him to death. Let’s face it – giving a troubled child a puppy can never be acceptable grounds for physical violence – General Hospital spoilers claim that Jason should clearly NOT be free to walk around Port Charles in his current state – and especially not be allowed to occupy a position of responsibility for children!

That action was a lot like what Jason did to Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher). Port Chuck is full of jerks – if Jason goes around choking them all out, the town will be sparsely populated – furthermore, Jason is behaving like the biggest jerk of all.

Jason was gruff with Jake over the puppy, not fathery and loving at all – and then raged. In coming days, Jason will order Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to cut off Jake’s art therapy with Franco and she’ll refuse. Jason won’t be happy with that and we wonder if his reaction to Liz’s refusal will also be extreme – not that he would choke her, but who knows for sure how mean TPTB at GH will make our hero?

Clearly something is wrong with Jason. But what?

General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Why Is Jason an Out of Control Rage Monster - Helena Pulling Strings From Beyond?

When Jason’s brain first went awry after the car wreck with AJ, he was left with fewer emotions and that gave him the ability to be an efficient killer. But rarely was that colder Jason out of control – killing was part of his business like putting on a coat and tie. But he rarely snapped and was more methodical.

Today’s Jason has tons of feelings going on – both positive and negative – is it his rediscovered emotions combined with memories of violence returning PLUS his muscle memory of the ability to commit violence that has created this volatile Jason that can be deadly in a heartbeat and wildly out of control?

Or is this something Helena did to Jason? Yes, Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) took out the microchip Helena put in his brain, but she could have done more to him than that. There’s no telling how she might have experimented on Jason – remember she had him for a long time. Is this wild behavior her doing?

Is this current unpleasant Jason the real Jason?

There is a fan theory trending that has not reached the status of a General Hospital spoilers yet that Jason is not really Jason. It seems like this would be an outrageous plotline for GH showrunners to pursue, but let’s look at why people are considering this. First, the only reason we know Jason is Jason is that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) DNA tested him.

Carly tested a DNA sample from Jake Doe against Jason’s known DNA in the criminal database. Helena could have easily had that criminal database altered so that alone does not dismiss the idea that Jason is not really Jason. But there was also Spinelli’s facial reconstruction program to bolster the outcome.

We just found out someone is stalking Jason and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and some have theorized that the “real” Jason is stalking them because he wants to confront the imposter and take back his life.

But after all the tortuously slow months it took for the “Jake is Jason” reveal, would GH do this to fans?

Would they really spring on us that Jason is some lab project of Helena’s and Jake Doe was a clever imposter? It doesn’t seem likely. We’ve seen Jason’s memories return – how would an imposter get those? But the Cassadines invented a weather machine to freeze a city, so nothing is impossible.

But it’s very likely this is just speculation gone wild and the person stalking them is an enemy of Jason’s (or family member of an enemy he killed off) back for retribution. That being said, if Jason is not really Jason, then real Jason could be his enemy. But that would be way out of left field…

The bottom line – Jason needs help.

GH spoilers know that Jason will once again share his concerns with Sam that his violent urges are out of control in coming days. Also, Franco will reach out to Jason with a mea culpa of sorts and explain that both of them are changed men and they don’t have to go down that road again. Will that help? Likely not.

By the time the Nurse’s Ball rolls around, Jason and Sam will have some insight that he’s got an enemy in town, it’s not Franco stalking them, and the two of them will head out on an adventure that may reveal Jason’s past at Helena’s hands and help him get his rage under control.

What do you think GH fans? Do you like this new Jason – or do you feel like he’s kind of a jerk lately?

Clearly he’s neither a golden boy Quartermaine nor Stone Cold Jason – both of which we loved. Just who is he now and what happened to make him so volatile? Let’s hope we get answers soon.
