“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that on next week’s episodes Port Charles begins to deal with the fallout of Carlos Rivera’s (Jeffrey V Parise) arrest for the murder of Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan). With so many standing in line for payback, both Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) and Julian Jerome (William DeVry) are scrambling to cover their tracks.
Julian may have ordered the hit on Duke but it was Paul, not Carlos, who shot sonny and put him in the wheelchair.
Though Carlos knows some very dark secrets involving DA Hornsby and the murder of Agent Sloane (Robb Derringer), threatening to use such information will surely back fire. GH spoilers say that Paul seems to have endless tricks up his sleeve to stay out of trouble.
There is no doubt Carlos will decide it serves him best to appear to cooperate with Paul while making more reliable plans.
General Hospital spoilers suggest Carlos will end up siding with Julian. With his new found life as a family man, his deep pockets and mob connections, no one in Port Charles is more capable or motivated than Julian to get him out of this situation.
Together, Julian and Carlos will devise a plan to dodge responsibility themselves and take DA Hornsby down in the process.
Unfortunately, what Carlos and Julian fail to taking into account is there is another Jerome with motivation to want Carlos dead. General Hospital spoilers note that it looks like little sister Ava (Maura West) will not be able to stand back while Julian loses the new, legitimate life he has built with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
After working so hard to separate himself from his old life, Julian only rekindling his mob connections to protect Ava. GH buzz is that she will no doubt feel obligated to return the favor.
When push comes to shove, Ava has proven to be a cold-blooded killer she will go to extremes to protect her family and herself. Ava didn’t hesitate to kill Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in order to protect information regarding Julian.
The sociopath was about to kill AJ (Sean Kanan) when she managed to goad a crazed Sonny into doing the job for her, just like a Port Charles Charles Manson. It will be an easy as pie for Ava to use Julian’s renewed good grace within the Jerome organization to arrange a hit on Carlos or even do the job herself!
Will Ava’s plan to kill Carlos work out for her brother or will her involvement destroy any plans Julian and Carlos have in place to save themselves? Also, how will Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) handle it if the people responsible for Duke’s murder go free yet again?
