General Hospital spoilers tell us that Nurse Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman) is walking the hallways of, General Hospital, again, but it wasn’t that long ago that she was walking the streets of Port Charles! Is her return to the GH canvas about to rock her hometown in more ways than one?
Longtime GH viewers know that Bobbie’s journey has been a dark and arduous one. The little sister of town legend Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) was once so destitute that she resorted to selling her body to make ends meet.
Today Bobbie is a respected member of the community and a veteran GH nurse. But back in the day, viewers got an eyeful when the young Miss Spencer entered the picture. We knew from the get-go that the Spencer family dwelled on the wrong side of the tracks, but fans were recently clued in as to just how dysfunctional the Spencer family dynamics were.

In a brilliant storytelling retirement sendoff to Geary, TPTB employed a flashback sequence that showed young Bobbie and Luke’s toxic home environment. Wow, that explained a lot! The black and white flashbacks showed the wretched family life that resulted in a warped sense of values for both Bobbie and Luke. Viewers came away from those episodes with a better understanding of how and why young and directionless Bobbie would resort to prostitution.
Bobbie was later subjected to hard reality when the daughter she gave up for adoption, Carly (Laura Wright), returned to town to ruin her mother’s life. Wild child Carly was bent on getting revenge on the woman she felt abandoned her. Among her misdeeds, Carly bedded Bobbie’s husband. Major wounds were opened, and it took years for the mother and daughter duo to call a truce.
After a long absence Bobbie was recently reintroduced to viewers just as Carly’s world fell apart. Carly’s son was killed in a car bombing, and it was suspected that her ex-husband Sonny (Maurice Benard) was responsible for their son’s death.
But around the same time, a mysterious young blonde arrived in town and became Carly’s rock. Helpful Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is the same age as Carly’s kids, and Carly believes she walks on water. Not so fast, Carly! We now know that Nelle is in the midst of destroying Carly’s life from the inside out. Why? We have no idea yet, but she’s off to a great start, starting with bedding Sonny!
When the truth comes out, Hurricane Carly will go ballistic, but will her own mother betray her once again? According to General Hospital spoilers, Bobbie will step up and defend Nelle, just when the whole town wants to lynch her, starting with Carly. Bobbie doesn’t get that she’s backstabbing Carly, she just wants to help a hurt and clueless young woman within whom she sees herself.
If Bobbie follows through on her emotions and aids the town pariah Nelle, will she ruin the relationship with Carly that she fought so hard for? What should a conflicted Bobbie do GH fans?
