General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Joe Rivera (Jeffrey Parise) may be after more than closure when he showed up in Port Charles. Does Joe want Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) and her son Teddy Rivera to be his instant family? Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) won’t like this one bit.
Michael was on guard the moment he saw Joe at the Q mansion and thought Carlos had survived death yet again. But once he found out about Joe, Michael might have preferred that it was the shady gangster back from the dead since Joe is a much more formidable romantic rival.
Consider this…
#1 Sabrina once loved Carlos passionately and Joe looks just like him.
#2 Sabrina once dated Joe before she took up with Carlos and may regret letting him go.
#3 Sabrina is a nurse, Joe is a doctor and on GH, doctors and nurses pair up historically.
Plus, Joe is all the best things she loved in Carlos – the sexy Latin good looks and a shared history – without the whole murderous mobster baggage that Sabrina hated. Sure Michael Quartermaine looked like a real catch compared to Carlos Rivera, but next to Joe Rivera, he may not be so shiny.
Sabrina loves Michael, but that could change. After all, it wasn’t too long ago that he dumped her over her Teddy baby lie. There’s also Teddy to consider. Although Joe is Teddy’s uncle, he’s a good daddy substitute for Carlos since he looks just like him and shares his DNA.
Teddy could easily be raised as Joe’s son with no one being any the wiser. There’s also another Teddy issue. The little guy is ailing and is in GH although he’s improving. General Hospital spoilers tease that Teddy’s medical drama may not be done yet.
Joe is a pediatric surgeon and if he just happened to save Teddy’s life, no doubt Sabrina would be imminently grateful. Joe brought a whole bunch of sexy to town and since he has also saves little kids’ lives, that’s pretty awesome. Michael may have some real competition.
Joe says he wants to be there for Sabrina and Teddy and General Hospital spoilers reveal that he’ll make nice with Michael for now. But it may not be too long until Joe makes a move and stakes a claim on Sabrina, whom he loved and lost when they were younger.
Plus, if Sabrina truly wants to be away from mob life, she should rethink Michael since he’s a Corinthos in the way he was raised, even if he’s a Quartermaine by birth. Michael will always be tied to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) which means the mob would remain in her life. That’s not good.
Who should Sabrina choose? If it’s a choice between Michael and Carlos, it’s no contest – Michael is definitely the better choice for Sabrina and baby Teddy. But if it’s Michael versus Joe, the sexy doc may be the better choice for Sabrina and her son in the long-run.
