“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason saves Sam from certain immolation on Monday February 8 plus there’s hospital drama, a broken heart, suspicious minds and confrontations that are bubbling towards a mob blowout for sweeps.
Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) is one of the suspicious minds – he’s intent on finding out what Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is up to and how much she knows about him. Paul grills Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) for answers, but Jordan is not forthcoming.
Jordan then contacts Anna for a talk and warns her that Paul is asking too many questions about her and if what they suspect is true, Anna’s life may be in danger. Anna decides to take the approach Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) recommended.
Anna takes Paul by surprise when she shows up out of the blue and is very flirty. Paul is probably desperate for some loving right now since Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have both kicked him out of their beds.
Paul makes a surprising confession – Anna learns he has a daughter and that prompts her to get Mac Scorpio (John J York) to find out who the mystery gal is. Dillon Quartermaine (Robert P Watkins) also wants to talk to Paul.
Dillon wants to know why his dad really came to Port Chuck since he has taken over the DA job, done his mom Tracy dirty, and hasn’t been acting like a good guy. What answers will Paul give his son? Will he tell Dillon that he has a sister he’s yet to meet?
Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) talks to his parents about his heartbreak over losing Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo). How sympathetic will Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) be? She didn’t think Sabbie was the one for Michael, so will she encourage him to let her go?
Michael is ready to pack his bags and go to Puerto Rico to find Sabrina. But remember, we don’t know where Sabrina is – that postcard was likely a misdirect. Last we saw Sabrina, Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) was rushing her and their newborn to the hospital.
They may be close by in Canada. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is more sympathetic about the Sabrina situation and both parents have some advice for Michael. Will they talk him in to waiting for now to see if Sabrina reaches out?
Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) confides in Franco (Roger Howarth) that Jake Spencer (James Nigbor) told her he killed someone and didn’t mean to. They discuss that this could mean. Will the answer become clear when a battered and near-death Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) arrives at GH?
Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) finds trouble at Liz’s house – smoke, fire alarms chirping, a broken window – and wonders where Sam is. He calls out for her, but Sam is not doing well. She’s got a head wound and smoke inhalation damage.
Looks like it will be a down-to-the-wire save as Jason finally finds her as the house goes up in flames. We should expect a romantic rescue as Jason carries wounded Sam out of the house just before it goes up in an explosive fire ball.
Jason gets Sam to GH but she’s still in critical shape thanks to what happened to her. Jason and Liz have to talk about how it got this bad and what Jake might have done. Looks like Sam will be fighting for her life and both Jake and Sam have lengthy hospitals stays ahead of them.
