General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that sister of the groom Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) nearly wrecks Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) wedding and it’s all about a war over Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) is struggling to get close to her daughter Charlotte and is frustrated. Even though Valentin Cassadine (James Stuart) let Lulu spend time with their kid, they didn’t bond. Lulu is so desperate that she’s pushing too hard.
Charlotte is uncomfortable around Lulu but she’s pushing for sole custody. Valentin could fight her in court but decides to take the high road with Lulu. Valentin has to tell Charlotte that Claudette Bolland (Bree Williamson) is not her mom but that won’t make her automatically love Lulu.
The only woman in Charlotte’s life she can trust is Nina because Nina adores her and shows Charlotte unconditional love. What helps is that Valentin cares about Nina – or is pretending to. Charlotte loves her daddy so she’ll like who he likes.
Valentin promised Nina that no matter that Lulu is the bio-mom, she’ll still have a place in his daughter’s life. Lulu snapped and said she’d decide who has a place in Charlotte’s life. That led to Lulu and Nina fighting over Charlotte’s gloves.
That was just a glimpse of the war that’s about to break out between the women over Charlotte. It will reach a peak at Nathan’s wedding. Nathan and Maxie’s wedding is already facing trouble. Spoilers say something from Nathan’s past comes out to haunt him.
But that’s not the worst thing that happens. The near-brawl between Nina and Lulu rips the wedding apart and could stop Nathan and Maxie’s long-awaited I do’s. Charlotte is at the wedding as a guest but once again rejects Lulu who is desperate to bond with her daughter.
This is the week after Nina spent Christmas at Wyndemere with Valentin and Charlotte like a happy little family. But right after Christmas is the Naxie wedding and that’s when everything explodes. Charlotte wants to be with Nina instead of Lulu.
That’s too much for Lulu to take. She’s been robbed of years with Charlotte because of the Cassadines and she won’t give up a minute more. The problem is, Lulu can’t force Charlotte to love her and the child has been jerked around too much by adults.
Claudette pretended to be her mom for years and then got her to lie to Nathan and then Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) about her being their daughter. Charlotte doesn’t want to be manipulated anymore even though Lulu is coming from a place of love.
When Charlotte wants Nina instead of Lulu at the wedding, things get ugly. Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) pull the women apart as things escalate. Lulu coming at Nina will make Charlotte dislike her mother more.
Two disasters might happen on Maxie and Nathan’s wedding day. They may not get their vows said and Lulu might find herself permanently estranged from her kid. This could be a New Year’s Eve that is memorable for many reasons – and none of them good.
