Hot General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Stuart) will soon be revealed as Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) baby daddy but how those two came to be parents together is a twisted and sick tale of Cassadine revenge.
Lulu has thought all this time that if she found her embryo baby, it would be her child with Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly). It turns out Lulu’s eggs wound up scrambled among two Cassadine brothers.
Valentin has hated Stavros and Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) since he was a kid. His father Mikkos abandoned him in a boarding school to keep Helena from killing him while Stavros got the royal treatment as the Cassadine prince.
When Valentin discovered that Stavros was obsessed with Lulu, he saw a chance for revenge. Valentin stole one of Lulu’s eggs to make his own embryo and then tampered with the embryo that Stavros made for himself.
When Helena stole the container before Crichton-Clark blew up, the embryo was already corrupted and unusable. Valentin did this to screw over his half-brother and wicked stepmother. Helena was thrilled to have the chance to grow a Stavros baby.
When Daphne told Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that she was hired to be a surrogate by Helena, she was telling the truth. She was also honest when she said the embryo wasn’t viable so she never got the job.
Valentin didn’t want another “legitimate” Cassadine heir born from that embryo and planned to rub it in his brother’s face that he had stolen the embryo. That means Valentin would have a child with Lulu but Stavros died so he never got to tell him.
Valentin hired Claudette Bolland (Bree Williamson) to be the surrogate, so she birthed Charlotte but is not her bio mother. Claudette may have blackmailed Valentin when she stole the kid. That’s why Valentin told her she had something that belonged to him.
Claudette’s name is on the birth certificate because she gave birth, but no one checks to see if a baby is biologically yours. That’s why Valentin was furious with Claudette. She stole his child that she has no link to except serving as a surrogate.
With Stavros and Helena both dead, it seems Valentin might not enjoy the revenge he wanted but that’s not true. He’s still smug about it. Now that Lulu has seen Charlotte, she feels a kinship with the kid and will chase down answers.
Valentin told Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) that they would always be connected by family. Laura just shared this with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). The family he meant Lulu’s child Charlotte, not Nikolas.
This twisted Cassadine mess means that Charlotte is Laura’s granddaughter and gives Valentin and Laura a weird relationship. What do you call your daughter’s baby daddy who’s also your son’s uncle? Wait until all this unfolds – it will be epic.
