Jodi Arias Subject Of Domestic Violence & PTSD Awareness Rap Song By Kareem Williams! (VIDEO)

Is Jodi Arias causing controversy as an advocate for victims of domestic violence? Rapper Kareem Williams – also known as Lefty – has written a song and released a video using Arias’s name to promote domestic violence awareness.

Star was able to exclusively gain access to letters Jodi has written to friends. In one such letter, Arias wrote that PTSD and domestic violence “are causes close to my heart.” And now Jodi has a platform to address those causes.

How did the “Jodi Ann Arias” song and video come about? A friend of Jodi’s reached out to Kareem sometime at the end of 2014, a source recently revealed to Star. The rapper was asked to write a song “that would bring awareness to domestic violence and PTSD.”

Why would Williams want to write a song using Jodi’s name? This is the same guy – who is also a blogger – who wrote compassionate articles about Arias while she was on trial for the murder of Travis Alexander.

Lefty doesn’t believe the mousy brunette is guilty of premeditated murder, but the blogger-rapper doesn’t believe Arias is innocent either – just that “something made her snap,” a source divulged.

When a friend of Jodi’s reached out to Williams in late 2014, an insider revealed that Kareem “was asked to write a song that would bring awareness to domestic violence and PTSD.” And of course, Lefty was happy to comply.

Kareem Williams received permission from Jodi’s family and wrote the song. The video, introduced by a smiling Maria De La Rosa (Jodi’s mitigation specialist), features clips from Arias’s murder trial as well as real women who have been abused.

Throughout the video, women hold up placards that say, “I am a survivor of domestic violence,’ “I am stronger than his fist,” “I am PTSD” and “PTSD: I’ve been let down.” And all the women showcased in the video mouth the refrain, “I wanna talk to you about a girl I know. Her name is Jodi Ann Arias.”
