Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s divorce announcement definitely sent shock waves throughout the entertainment world, as the actress pulled the plug on their marriage only three days after Johnny Depp’s mother died. If that weren’t enough, Amber Heard went on a campaign to single-handedly destroy Johnny Depp’s reputation by alleging that he was physically and emotionally abusive to her during their volatile 15-month marriage.
And now Johnny Depp wants Amber Heard to keep quiet about the details surrounding their nasty divorce before she kills his career and his Hollywood reputation altogether. Their divorce is already the reason why his last box office movie, “Alice Through The Looking Glass,” bombed at theaters and why he’s been forced to seek refuge in Europe rather than come home to Los Angeles – and all the paparazzi attention that’s waiting for him there.
One source told People Magazine, “The documents address the filing Depp’s team submitted last week, which request that any forthcoming information discovered during the proceedings, including financial information and witness statements, remain confidential. He also requested that experts and witnesses who testify sign a nondisclosure agreement – and any breaches would cost Heard and her team $100,000 for every infraction. Heard’s team calls their requests “blatant threats.”
Johnny Depp’s confidentiality agreement requests clearly mean one of two things: Amber Heard is capable of dishing out more dirt about the former Hollywood heartthrob or that he’s simply fed up with her childish media games.
One thing Johnny Depp could do is simply give Amber Heard a generous settlement and walk away. If there’s one thing that Amber Heard wants, it’s money, and that will definitely keep her from talking to the press. But Johnny Depp is clearly wanting to show his soon-to-be ex-wife here who’s pulling the strings behind their divorce, as he’s not willing to give into her monetary demands or threats for that matter, either.
