Kate Gosselin has made a shocking revelation about her son Collin Gosselin. The former ’19 Kids & Counting’ star has admitted that she sent her special needs son Collin Gosselin away from home to get the help he needs.
Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin’s relationship after their divorce has been lukewarm to say the best. The former reality television couple is no longer on speaking terms and communicate solely with their lawyers when it comes to the welfare of their eight kids.
Kate Gosselin has long been the sole provider for her family, with Jon Gosselin failing to make ends meet with a string of odd jobs and failed reality television opportunities, leaving most of the work of taking care of his children to his ex-wife.
And now Kate Gosselin says she has sent her son Collin Gosselin away to get help for his supposed special needs. Kate Gosselin didn’t specify exactly what those special needs are, although she seems to hint that she’s been dealing with the matter completely on her own for several years now.
According to People Magazine, Kate Gosselin said, “Collin has special needs. [There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things. This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this. By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him – our entire family has been impacted.”
Of course, Kate Gosselin didn’t specify whether or not Jon Gosselin was aware of Colin Gosselin’s special needs and the issues she’s been dealing with at home. In fact, Jon Gosselin has even said in recent weeks that he hasn’t seen Colin Gosselin in a year and a half and that he had no clue why.
It shouldn’t be surprising that Kate Gosselin has been keeping her ex-husband Jon Gosselin in the dark about the health of one of their children. There’s no doubt that Kate Gosselin knew Collin Gosselin’s special needs would make a good exclusive cover story for People Magazine and that’s why she’s kept so quiet about it.
Of course now that the secret is out, it will only be a matter of time before Jon Gosselin responds and accuses Kate Gosselin for being shady with her questionable parenting tactics.
