Did Kate Middleton demand Queen Elizabeth foot the bill for an expensive shopping spree? It appears that Queen Elizabeth is paying dearly for running the Duchess of Cambridge ragged.
The Royal family has taken full advantage of Duchess Kate’s popularity since Princess Kate returned from maternity leave. Day trips back and forth to Wales, endless visits in support of the Duchess of Cambridge’s charities, Christmas with the Royal Family and goodness knows what else! The future Queen is obviously exhausted, don’t you think?

Canada reports that Kate Middleton hit the streets of London after wrapping a morning of guest editing the Huffington Post U.K. Trading her white Reiss blouse with a black and white Dolce & Gabbana skirt for a black coat and scarf over yoga pants and red cross-trainers, Duchess Kate was spotted wandering in and out of stores on King’s Road in Chelsea.
Ordinarily Princess Kate is quite thrifty and oftentimes wears outfits two to three times. Seems Kate needs some athletic wear for an upcoming trip to Scotland. What clothing was the Duchess of Cambridge adding to an already extensive wardrobe?
While in Scotland Duchess Kate will participate in a tennis workshop with Judy Murray, captain of the British Fed Cup team. One must look her best on the tennis courts, especially with the paparazzi recording every move for posterity. Apparently the Duchess of Cambridge bought bags and bags of tennis clothing and athletic wear at the Luluemon shop.
The Canadian athletic wear line is very popular and a bit pricey – a simple pair of running pants can cost about $130 – the exclusive Four the Helluvit jacket will set you back nearly $300. Goodness knows what other wardrobe necessities Duchess Kate picked up during the retail therapy trip along King’s Road.
The Duchess of Cambridge will need outfits to wear when she makes stops at two of her patronages. Princess Kate will visit Place2Be at St. Catherine’s Primary School and then off to Wester Hailes Education Centre which is home to The Art Room first studio in Scotland.
Why didn’t Queen Elizabeth just say now Kate Middleton’s pricey shopping trip? Probably because the Duchess of Cambridge has done everything, and then some, asked of her since resuming Royal responsibilities in October. The Duchess even stayed back in London while the rest of the Middletons traveled to Mustique for the annual family holiday.
