Queen Elizabeth will be most embarrassed when Her Majesty hears Kate Middleton mumble her way through the ‘Queen At 90’ interview. It is quite clear that all the elocution lessons Buckingham has been buying for Kate Middleton have been a waste of MORE taxpayers’ money.
Maybe it’s just Americans who believe the Duchess of Cambridge is barely understandable. Kensington Palace shared a 30 second clip of the documentary which will air on March 27. We don’t know about you, but we had to listen to it half a dozen times to understand even half of what Kate is saying.
We were able to ascertain that Queen Elizabeth is called Gan-Gan by great-grandson Prince George. Another revelation is that Queen Elizabeth leaves little gifts for everyone when they visit. “She always leaves a little gift or something in the room when we go and stay. And that just shows, I think, her love for her, her family.” That was about all that’s comprehensible.
Mumbles Kate said something about George being lucky to have a little sister and something about Queen Elizabeth being fond of a the little girl. Kate Middleton managed to clearly state that she thought Queen Elizabeth was one of the first visitors when Kate and William got back to Kensington Palace after Princess Charlotte’s birth.
Then there’s something about Queen Elizabeth being fond of watching Princess Charlotte doing something or other and wanting to know what Charlotte is up to.
The Duchess of Cambridge barely unclenched her teeth during the 30 second video clip. The few times Kate grinned seemed more like grimaces. Not only that, Kate kept looking off to the side and didn’t really look at the camera at all. Kate was speaking so quickly that appears as if she can’t wait to get the overly prepared speech over and done with as soon as possible.
Maybe the rest of the interview gets better, we won’t know until the Queen At 90 documentary airs unless someone leaks more of it. Kate Middleton hasn’t given an interview since marrying Prince William which means in nearly five years she hasn’t learned to speak properly?
