Kate Middleton Fashion Disaster: No Princess Diana Style - India Wardrobe Frumpy and Matronly?

Kate Middleton is a fashion disaster and will never have Princess Diana’s style. Just a few hours after touching down in India Kate managed make an Alexander McQueen design look frumpy and matronly.

All hype surrounding the expensive clothing Kate Middleton would wear during the trip to India and Bhutan we’re already disappointed with the first dress the Duchess of Cambridge donned. It’s not only the red two-piece, it’s Kate’s hair also. What a mess!

Kensington Palace is hard at work posting a constant stream off photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton all over Instagram and Twitter. The first pic to hit Instagram was the Cambridge’s placing a wreath at the Taj Palace Hotel memorial which honors the victims of the 2008 terror attacks.

Perhaps Kate should get a pass on the awful red Indian-inspired two-piece peplum top and skirt set. But we’re not sure what’s going on with her hair. It looks as if Kate rolled out of bed, threw on the dress and some make-up and but didn’t bother with the bed head hair. Did Kate take a hairstylist and make-up team with her on this trip?

After placing the wreath at the Taj Palace Hotel Memorial the Duchess and the Duke of Cambridge were off to enjoy a tour with some children in an open-top bus.

Kate had the opportunity to dress demurely but fashionably for the outing?

Instead Kate Middleton chose a dress that quite frankly looks like something out of the 1970s schoolgirl calico dress era. Also reminding us of the 1970s were awful wedge heels. Princess Diana would never have been caught wearing wedges, never, ever, ever.

Sure, it was a casual day out, visiting with local children, meeting cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, but there had to be a better dress? Pick a color, red or green, but not together, it hurts the eyes.

And again, the hair! It’s all over the place and looks as if all Kate did was quickly run a brush through it. A sleek ponytail would have been a much better choice than leaving it down and tucking it behind her ears.

As if the dresses and wedge heels weren’t bad enough, the Duchess of Cambridge looks absolutely miserable. Kate really needs to develop a smile that masks her emotions because it’s obvious she’s still furious with Prince William over the Jecca Craig Easter travesty.

Who picked out these outfits? We really hope Kate Middleton’s wardrobe improves on this most important of official Royal trips. If Kate has any hopes of keeping Prince William from straying again and again she really needs to step up her game and stop looking like a frump.
