Kate Middleton Horrified: Carole Middleton Shamelessly Promotes Family Party Pieces Business

Carole Middleton never stops embarrassing Kate Middleton and the Royal family. What has Carole done this time? The Duchess of Cambridge’s mum used her column in Little London magazine to shamelessly promote the Middleton Party Pieces business.

In the article Carole Middleton gives advice on how to throw a spectacular outdoor children’s party. Before readers can even get to Carole’s ever so helpful guidance about hosting a kids get together they will need to read about 11 items Carole thinks are absolutely essential if you want the celebration to be fantastic.

Kate Middleton’s mother writes, “As summer sets in, create your own Kidchella with music, games and lashings of color.” These Kidchella party items are cheap-looking. First up is a god awful rainbow piñata, then a 37-foot with horribly mismatched little flags on them. For only $2 you can get a package of 8 paper cups in pastel colors and skipping down a bit you can get a pack of 2 coordinating plastic plates for a mere $6.50!

Then we get to Kate Middleton’s mum’s advice on how to make this a party to remember. Carole says you should “create a carpet of comfy floor cushions for your guests to chill out. It’s not a party unless you have a tent! Pick up a couple of children’s fabric teepees.

Do you want to make that kiddie party pop? Make sure there is a “riot of colors and textures – a festival theme is definitely an exception to the rule ‘less is more.’ Carole Middleton suggests rainbows, tassels and lanterns.

Don’t send your party guests’ home with the usual goodie bags! Oh no, fill them up with friendship bracelets and temporary tattoos. More junk for the partygoers mums and dads to have around the house.

The best advice of all? Carole says don’t cut the cake while you’re on the floor! She says instead you should get some “quirky and fun cake pops.” How about just putting the cake on a table to cut it?

What we want to know is if Kate Middleton followed Carole Middleton’s advice and threw a Kidchella themed birthday party for Prince Charlotte’s first birthday. Or, does the Duchess of Cambridge intend to throw this type of shindig for Prince George’s third birthday? Come to CDL for all your Royal news!
