Kate Middleton Shares Prince George Photos: First Day Of Preschool For Royal Heir

Kate Middleton has shared photos of Prince George’s first day of preschool. Kensington Palace released two pictures of the future King on his way to Westacre Montessori School on Wednesday, January 6. The momentous occasion was memorialized on film by the Duchess of Cambridge.

It was announced a week before Christmas at Sandringham that George would attend the Westacre Montessori preschool, which is just a short drive, approximately 10 miles, from the Duke and Duchess’s Anmer Hall country home in Norfolk.

A few Royal watchers noted the differences between the snapshots of Prince George to photos taken of Prince William marking the same occasion. William was photographed with Princess Diana and Prince Charles and was dressed in a traditional British school boy uniform. The snapshots of the second-in-line to the throne were a bit staged and stiff.

Prince George was dressed casually in a blue winter jacked lined with plaid sporting a mop of blond curls. In the photos George is standing in front of a mural painted on the wall of the Westacre academy and the young prince has a blue backpack around his shoulders.

There had been much speculation over whether or not Queen Elizabeth would allow Kate Middleton and Prince William to have George educated at the private institution. As previously reported, Queen Elizabeth was quite insistent that Prince George’s education be place in the hands of Royal tutors.

Insiders divulged that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge politely insisted that George be permitted to attend classes in an everyday setting.

Royal enthusiasts wonder if Princess Kate had tears in her eyes as Prince George entered the classroom for the first day of his formal education. Royal watchers hope that additional photos will be released of Prince George with Kate Middleton and Prince William upon their arrival at the $55 per day Montessori school.

Westacre is on a private road and is located in chapel that has been converted into a schoolhouse.
