Kate Middleton Stollergate: Carole Middleton Demands Prince George Out’n’About Sport Stroller In Discontinued Color

Kate Middleton has started strollergate thanks to a demanding Carole Middleton. The manipulative matriarch wanted an Out’n’About sport stroller in a discontinued color and of course the company would never say no to the granny of Prince George.

Company spokeswoman Marie David told the Daily Mail that Carole Middleton placed an order with the company for a rain cover via the Internet when Prince George was about 18 months old. Carole didn’t get all the details correct and the company had to reach out to Carole and figure out exactly what it was Kate Middleton’s mother wanted.

Carole happened to mention how much William and Kate loved the stroller in marine blue but alas, that color had been discontinued.

The Cambridge’s are ever so traditional and didn’t want any of the new colors – carnival red, lagoon blue, purple punch, mojito green or raven black – Out’n’About currently features on its website.

Since there weren’t any Nipper Single V4’s available in the marine blue the family-owned company went on a search through its warehouse to see if there might be enough of the marine blue fabric to make the Cambridge’s the stroller they wanted.

After searching high and low the discontinued fabric color was found and Out’n’About offered to build a Nipper stroller for 18-month-old Prince George in the proper color with all the new features.

Just two weeks after the stroller company spoke with Carole Middleton the news broke that Kate and William were expecting a second Royal baby. The Duchess of Cambridge’s assistant contacted the stroller maker and gave the go ahead on the sport stroller – in marine blue, of course.

The company spokeswoman was quick to point out that the stroller was NOT a gift either to Carole or to Kate and William – and they paid a special price to get the stroller and accompanying carrycot in the color demanded. The three-wheeler normally costs about $382.

A quick look at the company’s website shows that if Kate Middleton really wanted a traditional color and not one of today’s more popular bright or neon colors then Carole Middleton could have chosen to go with the raven black. But no, that marine blue is what Prince George and Princess Charlotte must have and it’s exactly what the little Royal toddlers got.

Sorry folks, you can’t have the Little Nipper V4 in marine blue – this was a one-time deal especially for Prince William and Kate Middleton. Ordinary people will need to be satisfied with the brand new line-up of colors available.

Maybe the marine blue will become so popular that Out’n’About will add it back to the choice of colors for its products. Come back to CDL often to keep up with Royal news and gossip!
