Nick Viall Bachelor Criticism: Reality Star Too Old and ‘Creepy’ For The Bachelor 2017?

Nick Viall is the new The Bachelor 2017, but it looks like ABC’s decision to cast the reality star is getting a lot of backlash. In fact, Nick Viall might be the least popular Bachelor yet for the popular reality television show as fans are already threatening to tune out for the upcoming season.

Nick Viall is best known as The Bachelor series’ most controversial villain. In 2014, Nick Viall famously called out Andi Dorfman for having sex with him after the Final Rose ceremony, in which she chose her now ex-fiance Josh Murray over him.

Undeterred, he returned to The Bachelorette series in hopes of impressing Kaitlyn Bristowe, but was rejected yet again. If that weren’t enough Nick Viall proved to be the train that kept chugging along by redeeming himself in Bachelor in Paradise.

Yet, many fans are upset that out of all the potential Bachelors that could have been picked to headline the show, Nick Viall has the least desirable credentials. Nick Viall’s age seems to be a major cause for concern, too.

At 35, Nick Viall is much older than the average ‘Bachelor’ contestant, making him more of an odd and creepy choice. Surely, no parent of a 22-year-old ‘Bachelor’ contestant is going to want to see their daughter flirt in a hot tub with 35-year-old Nick Viall, much less do anything else.

What’s more, many fans also think that Nick Viall already lost out on his opportunity to find love on television. He’s been involved in four past Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons and simply lost out. Nick Viall might sound sincere when he says that he’s still looking for the right person to fall in love with, but at this point in only looks like he’s in it to win more fame, popularity and exposure than anything else.

If that weren’t enough, unlike other Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants in the past, Nick Viall has been accused of slut-shaming on national television and came off as one of the most unlikable cast members after he antagonize fan favorite Shawn Booth in Kaitlyn Bristowe’s ‘Bachelorette’ season.

Surely, no woman in her right mind would think that Nick Viall is the kind, charming and sincere man he pretends to be unless he proves his critics wrong by giving viewers an unexpected surprise this season.

Tell us readers, do you think Nick Viall is the right choice for this season’s ‘Bachelor?’ Do you think 35-year-old Nick Viall’s age makes him too old and creepy for the show?
