After breaking up with Ian Somerhalder and Austin Stowell is Nina Dobrev tired of men? You might want to ask Deepika Padukone who is Nina’s costar on ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.’
D.J. Caruso, the director of the film, tweeted a photo of Nina and Deepika taking a break as the crew set up for the next scene shoot. Deepika is facing the camera. Nina, who portrays Becky has her head turned toward Deepika and is sticking out her tongue. The photo posted by the director is captioned, “#xxx3 #xandercagereturns Becky#ninadobrev and Serena #DeepikaPadukone in between setups.”
Interestingly enough, Nina tweeted the same one with her own caption. “Our on screen alter egos.”Becky” the Tech Nerd + “Serena” the films female badass. @deepikapadukone #XXXtheMovie.”
Perhaps Nina Dobrev and Deepika Padukone have grown close because the former The Vampire Diaries star needs a gal pal to talk to about how awful she felt after Ian Somerhalder rebounded with Nikki Reed. Deepika could have her own failed romance stories to share with Nina.
Nina gave love another shot post-Ian with Austin Stowell. Nina’s heart was broken again when the couple parted company not long after New Year’s. That’s probably something Nina could talk to Deepika about too.
Everyone thought Austin and Nina were pretty serious after Nina posted lovey-dovey pics of a holiday vacation with Austin. Would you blame Nina for swearing off men after two failed romances in a row? Maybe Nina Dobrev wants to branch out and try something different? Look at Kristen Stewart post her Robert Pattinson fiasco.
This snapshot was posted by D.J. and also by Nina on April 1. If you take a look Nina and the director’s Twitter feeds on that day you will find that Nina enjoyed playing a few April Fools Day pranks on the cast and crew.
In particular, the cast ganged up on the director and tried to freak him out by telling D.J. that an actor has to be deported for not having the correct working visa. Nina also pranked co-star Ruby Rose on April Fools Day.
The photo is probably just two bored co-stars keeping busy between takes. But hey, who knows? Deepika Paduknoe is a gorgeous brunette. Nina Dobrev could do worse, right? Nina has done worse – with both Austin Stowell and TVD star Ian Somerhalder.
