Pretty Little Liars returns to ABC Family tonight with an all new Tuesday January 19, season 6 Episode 12 called “Charlotte’s Web,” and we have your recap and spoilers below. On tonight’s episode, Aria (Lucy Hale) starts to look suspicious as she immediately heads back to Boston; Emily (Shay Mitchell) continues to lie about her life in California; and the ladies find themselves in familiar territory.

Torn between their old habits and their new lives, the events in Rosewood compel the Liars to join forces once again, as relationships were put to the test and secrets are revealed. Tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars kicks off with Hanna Marin and her fiancé – Hanna has filled him in on Charlotte’s death. She has to talk to the cops in the morning – he is bringing in his family’s high profile lawyer. Hana wants to just leave for New York and no talk to the cops.

Aria stops by Ezra’s apartment. She says she is on the way to the airport – but she has to talk to him first. Aria tells Ezra that if he talks to the cops – he has to lie and say he didn’t see her the night that Charlotte was killed. She doesn’t want anyone to know that she snuck out of the hotel.

Emily is at what appears to be a doctor’s appointment – she has having blood drawn. She is getting treatments for an unknown disease. It sounds like Emily has some serious medical problems.

Spencer, Hanna, and Alison are reading the police report from Charlotte’s death. Alison thinks that Aria was acting suspicious – she skipped town super fast. Spencer says that Aria is innocent. Meanwhile, Ari is back at work in Boston – and she is apparently hooking up with her boss Mr. Greene. Her boyfriend asks Aria if she talked to Ezra, their firm is publishing a book that he wrote.

Hanna and her fiancé go for a walk in Rosewood. Hanna is still trying to get him to go back to New York. But, they made dinner plans with Alison. Hanna has been trying to get out of it all day, but her fiancé thinks that it will be fun.

Spencer is freaking out, she confides in Caleb that she thinks someone is trying to set her up for Charlotte’s death. Apparently, she wrote a paper for criminology that sounds an awful lot like Charlotte’s autopsy report. Caleb reassures her that it is all probably just a coincidence.

At Aria’s office her boss Jillian is not happy – their firm paid Ezra to write a book, and he still hasn’t finished it. Aria was supposed to bring it back with her from Rosewood and she struck out, her job could be in danger because of it.

Emily runs in to an old friend outside of the hospital, Emily begs her not to tell any of her friends of family that they ran in to each other. She is trying to keep her illness a secret. Her friends thinks hat Emily has cancer – and she encourages her to tell her mom the truth.

Everyone arrives at Alison’s house for the dinner party they planned. Hanna awkwardly introduces her fiancé Jordan to her ex-boyfriend Caleb. Emily arrives and chats with Hanna, she reveals that she is going to be staying in Rosewood for a while. Meanwhile, Caleb and Jordan awkwardly talk. Jordan is intrigued by Caleb and Spencer’s relationship – Spencer explains that she ran in to Caleb in Europe ater they hadn’t talked for a few years.

Hanna and Caleb share a moment in the wine cellar – it’s the first time they have talked since their break-up. Hanna reassures Caleb that she wasn’t looking for someone new, her and Jordan just happened. Caleb is happy for Hanna – he wishes he and Jordan the best.

Everyone heads out to the dining room to sit down for dinner – Alison says a prayer and asks God for help finding Charlotte’s killer and bringing them to justice. After they are done eating, Spencer takes Hanna aside. They just found out that Charlotte’s time of death was at 4:00 AM. Spencer knows that Aria snuck out of the hotel room. She wants Hanna to look at the security camera footage to make sure that Aria was back in the room before Charlotte was killed.

Emily heads to the Brew later with her mom – she sees Aria sneaking up the stairs to Ezra’s apartment. Aria explains to him that she flew all the way back from Boston to talk to him about the book he owes the publication company. Ezra wants to return the check they gave him, but Aria says that is not an option, her office wants the sequel that he promised them. Ezra hands her a very very rough first draft and warns her that her boss is no going to like it. Before Aria leaves she questions Ezra about the night that Charlotte was killed – Ezra acts strangely, as if he has something to hide and won’t tell Aria what time he got home.

Spencer, Emily, and Hanna break in to the office at the hotel and watch the security footage. It doesn’t look good for Aria – she came back after 4:00 AM, so she was outside when Charlotte was killed. The girls march over to Aria’s house and confront her, they demand to know what she was doing out in the middle of the night. Aria reveals that she met up with Ezra and they went for a walk. Aria confesses that they saw Charlotte slipping into a building and then Ezra told Aria to get in her car and leave.

Aria is scared that Charlotte might have been murdered by Ezra – he was furious that she got let out and good people like his girlfriend Nicole are no longer with us. Spencer has an epiphany she realizes that the paper she wrote for criminology that sounded just like Charlotte’s murder, was something that she let Ezra read. Spencer whispers to her friends, “You guys I think I told him how to get away with it.”

Spencer goes home and tells her mother about her paper – she is scared that it could come back to haunt them and hurt her mom’s Senate Campaign. Mrs. Hastings reassures Spencer that she is not a liability.

Emily heads to the cemetery to visit her dad’s grave in the middle of the night. She confesses to his grave that she flunked out of school and lost her scholarship and her mom has no idea. She promises his headstone that she is going to fix everything. She hears a noise behind her and spins around – Sara Harvey is standing in the shadows and watching Emily – she rushes home.

Tonight’s episode ends with Hanna at the hotel, she deletes the security video footage of Aria so that no one ever can prove she left the hotel, then she climbs in to bed with her fiancé Jordan. Meanwhile Alison tracks down Lorenz and says that she has changed her mind and she thinks her friends may have had something to do with Charlotte’s death after all.
