Tonight’s episode of Ray Donovan kicks off where we left off last week – Ray’s life is in turmoil, and if Hector doesn’t throw the fight like ray promised Dimitri, he’s in serious trouble. On the up side, Avi is still alive. Avi is rushed to the hospital, and he has been beaten so badly he is barely recognizable. He and Ray share a moment at the hospital.

Ray heads home and Abby is in bed, he wakes her up and she is thrilled to see him. Abby has good news – she says that the doctor did an MRI and her cancer is going away. Abby raves that they are getting a “fresh start” and she has a new lease on life. Little does Abby know, cancer is the least of the Donovans family’s worries right now.

Hector is still promoting his Whittaker fight, and he heads to a press conference, even his wife and daughter Stella are on hand for the camera. Ray watches Hector’s interview from home.

Ray wakes up in the morning, and Abby has even MORE good news. Apparently, their daughter Bridget got accepted to NYU. She has orientation that weekend. Abby wants Ray to take her to the airport and put Bridget up in a nice hotel in NYC. Abby still has no idea what is going on with Sonia and the Russians.

At the gym, Terry is having a moment with his protégé. His girlfriend shows up in her police uniform, she can’t wait for the big fight, she even has a new dress to where. Terry warns her that it is not guaranteed that hector will win.

Mickey is at home with the dog – Abby rants that she is sick of the dog slobbering all over the house. Abby can barely contain her excitement after she kicks the dog out, she brags to Mickey that Bridget got in to NYU. While Abby is filling out the paperwork for NYU, Mickey asks her for a loan. He says he has a line on a “sure thing” – he’s talking about Hector’s fight. Abby says that they don’t have that kind of cash around the house – but she does have something that she wants to get rid of, the painting in Bridget’s room of the girl with the guitar from Sonia. She tells Mickey to sell the painting and use the money to make the bet.

Ray is summoned to the FBI office by Frank Barnes. They are wiring Ray up and promise to give him back his files and turn a blind eye to everything. Ray reluctantly agrees, he’s not a fan of being a rat, but he has no other choice. Meanwhile, Mickey hits the streets and is trying to sell Sonia’s painting.

Father Romero tracks down Ray, apparently, Hector paid him a visit. Hector doesn’t want to throw the fight. He wants to fight to win against Whittaker, and then he will go to the police and tell them the truth about killing Marisol. Ray scoffs Hector wasn’t trying to get God involved when he was drowning Marisol in the bathtub.

Bunch stops by the gym and visits Terry. He says that last night he has a weird dream about him and Ray racing paper boats on the river. Ray’s boat was winning, then out of nowhere, a shark jumped up and ate Ray’s boat. Bunch knows something is up, and he heard from Mickey that hector is going to throw the fight.

Ray drops Bridget off at the airport and sends her on the way. Bridget senses that something is off with her dad and before she boards the plane she checks to make sure that he is okay. Ray wakes goodbye, and looks at her like he is never going to see her again.

Terry confronts Ray, he demands to know if he is making Hector throw the fight. Terry is not a happy camper. Ray confirms that Hector is throwing the fight in the 6th round. Ray explains that Hector killed Marisol and he cleaned it up. In exchange for his help, Hector has to throw the fight because Ray owes the Russians more money than he can ever pay them. Later Ray decides to come clean to Abby too. He tells her that Sonia is ratting them out, and Frank Barnes is making him wear a wire too.

Later that night, Ray is called down to the morgue to identify a body. It’s Sonia’s. The Russians shot her in the head and killed her because she was going to rat them out. Ray tells Abby, she wants them all to get out of town ASAP.

Mickey returns with the painting. He found an art dealer, but when they took the back off the painting, they realized it was a forgery, and it was full of coke and heroin. The Russians have been using the artwork to smuggle drugs in to the country. Now, Ray has some leverage.

It’s the night of the big fight, Ray is supposed to be wired up for the FBI. Ray heads in to the arena, he tells Hector and Terry that they don’t have to throw the fight. Ray has gone rogue. He enlists the help of his family, and informs Frank that he is going things “his way.”

The fight kicks off, and Ray sits with Dimitri in the front row. Dimitri still thinks that Hector is throwing the fight – but the sixth round arrives and Hector goes all out. Dimitri is not happy – he stands up and leaves the arena. Dimitri stomps outside and hops in his car – and Daryl and Avi are waiting for him with guns.

Meanwhile, Bunch and Mickey head to Belikhov’s house, and they shoot and kill him. Avi kills Dimitri and he and Daryl abandon the car in a parking lot. Lena and Ray head to the art gallery. They tie up loose ends and Ray kills Dimitr’s art guy with a baseball bat. Frank arrives and ray hands him the baseball bat, shows him all of the drugs and leaves.

At the gym, everyone is celebrating Hector’s fight. Terry gives a speech and thanks everyone for coming to the fight and says he loves them all. Lena arrives at th gym and Abby rushes over to ask her where Ray is.

Ray finds Hector standing outside. Hector thinks Ray for helping him with Marisol. Hector thinks they are “good.” Ray laughs and tells Hector to go home, he will call him when he needs him. They are far from even and Hector still owes Ray for Marisol.

Abby finds Ray outside, she brags that she knew everything was going to work out tonight. And tells Ray to never doubt her again, “no one can touch them.” They share a kiss and head back inside the gym to celebrate with the family.

THE END!
