It looks like there might be another reason why Selena Gomez has retreated from the spotlight and has put her career on a temporary hold. While both fans and critics wondered if her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber was the real reason why she’s been in hiding these last several weeks, there’s a new report that says the ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindess’ singer might have known about Brad Pitt and Angelina’s divorce announcement before it was made.
In fact, according to Naughty Gossip, there’s speculation that Selena might be behind Brangelina’s split after all. There were several reports indicating that Angelina was absolutely livid over a photo of Brad and Selena supposedly flirting at a Golden Globes after party earlier this year. Selena shared the photo on her Instagram account and captioned it with, “Just discussing #TheBigShort,” yet Angelina thought it was more that just that.
Now, there are even more reports that say Angelina Jolie went ballistic after discovering photos of Selena Gomez she found on Brad Pitt’s cell phone. It just added to the already long list of problems that the couple was having.
Sure, Selena might want her fans to think that she’s still heartbroken over her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber, but the real truth is that she got over him a long time ago. There’s no way she would want to go back to a man who openly cheats on his girlfriends with a different female companion each week. Yet, Selena used the buzz as a decoy to hide the real truth, which supposedly is that she could very well be the reason why Angelina Jolie filed for the divorce.
The mother-of-six might be considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, but even she has her insecurities. And knowing just how ruthless and vindictive the actress can be – which she has shown the world with her nasty smear campaign against Brad – Selena knew it would be best to stay undercover until Brangelina’s divorce became old news. In fact, Selena won’t be ready to make a public appearance again until Brad and Angelina’s divorce papers have been finalized.
