#BiggestLoser begins with the competitors walking into a mall food court. Bob says the season is about temptation and talks about the $100 billion spent on food like this. He says they will play a trivia contest by choosing foods that answer a certain question.

They will get one point per correct question and give it to the other team to eat or lose a point as penalty. The winner gets to choose someone to sit out of the weigh in. Dolvett choses Erin and Jen chooses Lauren.

Bob says choose the one with the most fat – pepperoni pizza, chicken parm, and two others. Erin gets it right with pizza and she chooses Sarah and Rob to eat the pizza. They both do while Bob talks about all the saturated fat in it. Rob says he feels so guilty and he cries while he eats.

Dolvett chooses Richard and Jen chooses Luis. This next is the unhealthiest school lunch for kids and it’s a Mexican dish. Richard gets a quesadilla and Luis grabs nachos. The nachos were correct and it’s tied up. Luis has Toy and Jacky eat the nachos.

Dolvett stops them and he eats them – he doesn’t want Toy to get discouraged. He eats and Bob says it’s more than a child should eat all day. He says he hates eating it. Next is Hope for Jen vs Jacky for Dolvett.

This is a high sodium Italian dish that should cover the entire day’s worth of salt. They both run for lasagna and it’s wrong. Hope gets pizza and Jacky gets chicken alfredo. The Alfredo is correct. Dolvett’s team pulls ahead.

Lauren and Vicki have to eat the alfredo. Jen lets them. It’s 2100 calories. Jen says she didn’t save them because she didn’t realize how many calories. Jen chooses Colby and Dolvett chooses Whitney.

They have to pick an American dish that has twice the calories of the others. Colby grabs chili cheese fries and so does Whitney. It’s wrong. The fried chicken is wrong too. The right one is mac and cheese and Whitney beats him. Dolvett has another point.

Whitney tells Colby and Hope to eat it. Jen says no and she eats it. She tells Bob to tell her after she eats it how many calories are in it. More than 2000 and 80 grams of fat. Jen sends Rob out and Dolvett chooses Stephen.

It’s dessert – they have to find the one with more than 20 grams of fat. Cheesecake is wrong. Steve gets it right with apple pie and ice cream and Dolvett’s team wins. Jen’s team has to eat the ice cream and pie.

Dolvett’s team gets to choose someone to sit out of the weigh in – from one side or the other. Next, the teams meet Bob at a medical research facility. He says they’re going to teach them what bad food choices really mean.

They go inside to an autopsy room. They meet Dr Huizenga and Bob says food choices are life and death. He tells Colby he was shocked when he read what he drank – six sodas plus sweet tea and juice. He says it’s 1.25 pounds of sugar and shows them what 460 pounds of sugar looks like.

Next they talk to Jacky who talks about her 12 year old daughter struggling with her weight. Jacky says it’s hard as a parent. The doctor tells Toy that her excess fat is strangling her body. He shows them what 218 pounds of hydrated fat looks like and he pours some into a tub.

They all look sickened and Toy says you don’t think about it like that because you can’t see it. She says she knows how heavy she is but to see what she’s doing to herself is heartbreaking. Then they turn to Rob, the oldest.

They show him that date December 14, 2020 and tell him that’s when he’ll die – in less than five years. He starts crying. He says he gained weight gradually then he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and then he lost a close friend. He says he ate more and more.

Next the teams meet Bob and he shows them an alternative to hamburger. He says it can be a weight loss killer and talks about how much better ground turkey is for you and shows them how to make a burger.

They go into the gym for a workout next. Dolvett runs his team hard and says this is their week to win. Jen works her team hard too because she has to make sure that the person they choose to sit out won’t affect them.

Richard is thinking who they should have sit out. He’s considering which ones are best to target. Jen tells Lauren to run hard until there’s nothing left in this tank. She talks about wanting to be a better role model for her son.

Bob asks Richard who they’re going to sit out of the strategy. They choose Colby. Richard says Colby was working hard to put up better numbers this week. Bob brings Colby up to see if they made a good choice. He was 321 last weigh in and is now at 309. He dropped 12 pounds.

Richard is pleased with the choice. Now the weigh in starts. Sarah and Toy go first. Sarah was at 250 and she’s now at 244. She lost just six pounds. Toy was at 308 and she weighs in at 302. She also lost six pounds. She’s disappointed and says she worked so hard.

Team Jen is at .28% and Dolvett at .32%. Vicki lost six and Erin lost six. Both Jen and Dolvett are stunned. Luis lost seven and Felicia lost just four. Dolvett says he expected a lot more and Lauren insists she worked hard.

Now it’s Team Jen .88% and Dolvett .85%. Rob and Richard are next. Rob lost seven pounds. Richard lost seven and he can’t believe it. He’s under 300 pounds though. He says it’s been a while since he was in the 200s.

Team Jen is at 1.21% and Dolvett is at 1.22%. Next is Roberto and Stephen. Roberto lost nine pounds. Stephen lost nine pounds also. Team Jen is at 1.62% and Dolvett is at 1.69%. Next is Hope and Whitney.

Hope lost just two pounds. Jen is shocked. Hope says it’s pathetic. Whitney lost no weight at all. Dolvett is floored and so is Whitney. He says that makes no sense to him. Team Dolvett is at 1.69% and Jen at 1.72%.

The last two are Lauren and Jackie. Lauren lost eight pounds. Jacky has to lose eight to keep them from losing. She lost just three pounds. Team Dolvett is at 1.85% and Team Jen is at 2.09%. Team Jen wins the weigh in and Whitney and Jacky are below the line.

Bob tells them team to decide between them on who will go home. The votes have been cast and now it’s time to reveal. Bob says he hates to see them back in there tonight. Whitney gets one vote and Felicia votes for Jacky. Felicia says she doesn’t like the way she works with Dolvett.

Erin votes for Whitney. Richard says both of them try hard but he voted for Whitney. Bob says he’ll see her at the finale and he expects her to look fierce. Whitney says her journey was too short. Felicia says there are issues with Dolvett and that’s why they’ve lost twice.

Jacky says she and Dolvett have too much anger. Felicia says Jen’s team has gelled much better. Bob tells them they need to have a hard conversation with each other, with Dolvett – he says they have no time to wait. Felicia says they’re not getting what they need.

Dolvett waits on the team to come back and he says he knows there’s a problem with his team. Felicia isn’t happy to see him there. Dolvett says they need to have a difficult conversation. Richard says they won two challenges then lost two weigh-ins.

Erin says her life is in his hands and she doesn’t want to feel like he wants someone on his team to win. Felicia says they have constant conflict and she can’t express herself to him. She says they are not gelling as a team.

Dolvett says he’s never had this experience and says it’s not about him winning – he says he failed them. He says he came at them hard to see who really wanted it. He says that approach is not working for a lot of them.

He says he wants to teach them how to succeed and says Whitney is gone because of him and Britney too. He says they have a lack of trust and he wants them to trust him. He says he has to prove that he’s worth trusting and asks if they can start again.

Felicia says she likes what she’s hearing from Dolvett but will believe it when she sees it. He says he won’t let them down. Next up is a food truck challenge for both teams to face. Looks like more temptation!

The teams show up and Bob is there. He says they have to pull together as a team to win this. They have to pull three food trucks over 600 feet. They will compete in teams of six. Two pull their first, four pull the second, then all six pull the big truck.

The first team to get all three across wins it. The winning team gets a crash course from Chef Lorena Garcia, the queen of healthy eating. The losing team has to eat from the food trucks. Colby and Sarah have to sit out for medical reasons.

The rest all get into harnesses. Roberto and Luis face off with Stephen and Richard to pull the first truck. They start pulling. Roberto and Luis take off to an early lead. They get way ahead. They cross the finish line. Richard and Stephen are struggling.

They have to run back to the second truck. Now the four start on the second truck. Stephen and the ladies catch up on the second truck. Team Jen finishes truck two as Team Dolvett slows. Team Jen is already pulling their third truck. They pass Team Dolvett and roll across the finish line. Stephen is upset and says they’re not as strong as they should be as a team. Now it’s workout team and Dolvett says he can’t lost another person off the team.

He says he needs to build the team up and not tear them down. Dolvett chooses someone to be the count person instead of him. He starts with Jacky. Stephen starts talking up the others. They are pushing each other really hard.

Colby says the real deal is on the other side of the gym. Erin goes nuts and Dolvett says talk to them and she gets the whole team excited and shouting. Dolvett says he’s never seem them so dedicated and says this feels like the first time they worked out as a team.

Team Jen gets their cooking lesson from Chef Garcia. The food truck pulls up for the other team and they’re nervous. They start ordering and some are making better choices than others. The lesson continues with Team Jen.

She makes them lettuce wrapped tacos for less than 300 calories. They wonder what the other team is doing right now. Richard goes back for another taco. Bob says it’s time for a last chance challenge. He says they get a two pound advantage.

They have to choose four players to represent the team and they have to use rowing machines and row a long distance. Lauren and Jacky face off. They each have to do 500 meters for the next players to get on.

Roberto is on there next for Team Jen and Felicia for Team Dolvett. Felicia makes up time fast. Rob and Erin are up next. Last is Luis and Stephen. Dolvett tells him to do it for his wife and son and Stephen goes as fast as he can.

Luis barely edges out Stephen and Team Jen wins the two pound advantage. Stephen is upset but Dolvett comforts him. Next the teams file in for a weigh-in and Team Dolvett is very nervous. Bob greets them and reminds them the yellow line rules.

Team Jen gets their two pounds added to the board. Colby weighs in first and he went from 309 down to 300. He lost nine pounds. Rob is next and he went from 299 to 289. He lost an impressive 10 pounds. They are at 1% to start with.

Now it goes to side by side team weigh-ins and Bob says Dolvett looks nervous. He says he wants them to have longer to stay and wants another week with these people. First is Roberto and Stephen.

Roberto went from 315 down to 308. He lost seven pounds. Stephen went from 289 down to 283. He lost six pounds. He says he worked hard and thought it would be more than that. Dolvett says based on his effort, he expected more.

Dolvett says building trust and camaraderie is important. Team Jen has to send someone home. Luis and Hope are below the yellow line and one of them has to go home. Bob sends Jen out and she tells them they did everything they needed to.

Jen says they are like a family and says they will always have her no matter who has to go home. She says it’s heartbreaking. They cast their votes and go to meet Bob. Bob says it’s no fun to be there.

Colby votes for Luis so his wife can stay. Roberto votes for Hope so his brother can stay. Lauren says she needs Luis there to push her so she voted for Hope. Rob votes for Hope also. That sends Colby’s wife out. She breaks down crying as does Colby.
