The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) Spoilers: Casting Call Points to Hope Recast – Looking for Kim Matula’s Replacement

“The Bold and the Beautiful” (B&B) spoilers reveal that some new faces are headed to the CBS soap and one of them could be a biggie. According to Soap Opera Digest, a casting call went out for two upcoming roles. First, B&B is looking for a Caucasian female in the 22-27 age range.

This young leading lady will portray a contract role that’s described as “worldly, sophisticated, confident and artistic.”

Based on the description, it sounds like “The Bold and the Beautiful” might be working on a Hope Logan recast. There’s no name listed for the part. That could be an indicator that they’re trying to keep the character’s identity under wraps. There’s always a lot of secrecy when it comes to recasts since soap fans tend to fly into a frenzy.

Kim Matula briefly reprised her role in a recent episode and word has it she may pop up again in April. However, it seems obvious that Matula has no intention of coming back to “The Bold and the Beautiful” for any lengthy period of time. If she was interested, she probably would’ve returned permanently by now.

We also have no guarantee that Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) will hang around indefinitely. Wood tends to have other projects going on and that could pull her away from B&B before long. Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) is supposedly getting back in the mix soon, but they still have to make sure we have enough females to go around.

We need plenty of women for Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Liam (Scott Clifton) to fight over.

Of course, there could be other love interest options as well. Even if this role turns out to be completely new, it appears to be a “Hope-ish” character. If it isn’t a recast, it could at least fill the void that Hope left behind.

In addition, a smaller role is up for grabs. “The Bold and the Beautiful” wants someone to play a “confident, polished attorney in his 30s” for a two-episode stint. This vibrant lawyer will be named Ed De La Rosa.

The part may be somewhat insignificant, but it makes us wonder what legal battles lie ahead –  could they involve custody?!? Exciting storylines must be brewing! Stick with CDL for updates on casting decisions and news about when these characters will debut.
