The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Nicole (Reign Edwards) will get ready to fulfill her promise to Rick (Jacob Young) and Maya (Karla Mosley). They’ll all gather just before the artificial insemination. Maya will want to be sure Nicole is still OK with being a surrogate. Rick will agree that Nicole needs to be completely on board. They won’t want to push her into this.
We don’t know what Nicole will decide yet, but B&B has offered up a few hints. Let’s consider two Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for next week. One character will face more regrets and a married couple will grapple with a setback. These spoilers could easily be about Nicole, Rick and Maya.
There are several ways this could play out, but there’s one option that might be the soapiest. Nicole could be told that there were some unforeseen complications related to her first pregnancy. She might learn that it would be very difficult for her to conceive again. Nicole could have regrets for giving up her only chance at a child.
As for Rick and Maya, they could have to deal with the fact that they won’t be adding to their family – at least not through Nicole. They would also have to accept that they took Nicole’s only shot at a baby. The struggle could really get to Maya and Rick. It could take a toll on their marriage.
The Bold and the Beautiful fans have been noticing Rick and Nicole’s closeness lately. He was quick to offer Nicole comfort and a tender hug after Zende (Rome Flynn) broke her heart. They shared some sweet scenes with Lizzy recently, too. B&B seems to be building Nicole and Rick’s connection.
If Rick is having problems with Maya and Nicole is having problems with Zende…well, you see where this could go. An affair wouldn’t be out of the question. Wouldn’t it be wild if Nicole hooked up with Rick and miraculously got pregnant the old-fashioned way?
It would certainly do damage to the strong bond Nicole and Maya worked so hard on. Obviously, it would further strain things between Maya and Rick. However, it’s important to point out that this is a complex situation.
The Bold and the Beautiful has been careful to convey a specific message about acceptance through Rick and Maya’s love story. Will they be willing to mess with that narrative for drama’s sake? It’s tough to say.
Maya and Rick behaved horribly before Nicole arrived to reveal her sister’s past. Some viewers feel like “Raya” never truly got their comeuppance. We can’t forget how they treated poor Aly (Ashlyn Pearce).
Rick and Maya are on the right path now, but trouble could be brewing. Will they stand together or will it drive them apart? Regardless, they’ll probably work it out sooner or later. It’s just a matter of how bad it will get before the tide turns.
It’s possible B&B will choose a less controversial route by making Nicole have a simple crush. Unrequited love could still cause a dilemma. Nicole might even try to get custody of Lizzy. You just never know where the storyline could go next.
