“The Bold and The Beautiful” spoilers reveal that Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) will find out during episodes this week about Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) big baby secret and may use it to try and leverage his way back to the top at Forrester Creations.
Ridge has profoundly irritated Rick by taking down Maya Avant’s (Karla Mosley) portrait and replacing it with that of Stephanie Forrester. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Ridge packed up Rick and Maya’s belongings and took over the master suite of the mansion.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that when Rick finds out what Ridge is hiding, it’s like Christmas come early. Rick will be ranting to his mom Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) about Ridge when she lets slip that Ridge can’t have children anymore because of his vasectomy that turned out to be irreversible.
Rick will be thrilled to find out that his brother is a huge fat liar. But Rick will be less interested in making things right for Thomas Forrester (Pierson Fode) – the actual baby daddy – and more interested in making things better for himself and Maya.
B&B spoilers hint that Rick’s plan will likely be to leverage the truth to oust Ridge from his seat of power at Forrester Creations. After all, Ridge is desperate to keep the secret that he’s not Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) baby daddy and that his son Thomas is.
Because the truth outing could wreak havoc on Ridge’s marriage, Rick might have found the one thing to use against his big brother that could give him control both at work and at the Forrester mansion. But the big question is, will Rick choose power or punishment?
Rick can use this info to take power at Forrester Creations and at the family estate – or Rick can choose to punish his brother by revealing the shocking truth to everyone and publicly shame him. One would be more advantageous and the other more enjoyable.
Maya will likely have a strong opinion on this situation and may advise her hubby Rick on what to do. And this has to give Maya and Rick an emotional boost in another way as well. Maya can’t have kids and so they’re using Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) as surrogate.
With the knowledge that Ridge can’t have kids, that puts the couples on equal footing. Neither couple is having a child that’s 100% theirs biologically. That has to make Rick feeling better about his marriage because Ridge has always acted superior.
