“The Bold and The Beautiful” (B&B) spoilers reveal that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) will soon embark on a civil war that begins in the Forrester family mansion and will soon spill over into Forrester Creations
Before all this drama starts, Rick and wife Maya Avant [Karla Mosley] have been presiding over the Forrester house, even though Eric Forrester [John McCook] is still the patriarch of the clan. You’ll recall his Rick’s first power move was to take down Stephanie’s portrait and replace it with one of Maya.
That definitely rubbed Ridge the wrong way, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the conflict about to hit the family. Now that Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) pregnancy is progressing, Ridge will decide that it’s time for him to take over the Forrester mansion for his growing family.
According to B&B spoilers, Ridge and his bride will storm the proverbial castle and tear things apart quite literally. Ridge thinks he, his wife and the new baby should have the run of the Forrester place – but he also wants to refurbish part of the house to meet his lofty standards.
The first thing Ridge does is take down Maya’s portrait and rehang the one of his mother. That will set Rick off immediately. From there, the assumption that Ridge’s baby deserves better than Rick’s is the second major irritant.
After all, Rick and Maya are also expecting a baby but, no doubt, Ridge thinks his child is more important than Rick and Maya’s – and there’s sure to be some trash talk about the surrogacy, Maya and more. None of this will go down well with Rick.
Ridge has control of Forrester Creations after Rick’s ousting and now it will seem to Rick that Ridge is also taking control of the house. This will set off a major rivalry on both fronts – at home and at the office. Rick won’t let Ridge rule Forrester creations and the family estate.
Rick and Maya may also think that while Ridge is busy tearing up the house, he’ll be distracted so it’s the perfect time to make a play for control of Forrester Creations. We can also expect Caroline and Maya to face off in this baby/house/office showdown – there’s plenty of unpleasant history there…
This is about far more than who gets a nice new nursery in the big house – it’s about which of them is more important. All this mess will leave Eric Forrester (John McCook) having to mediate Rick and Ridge’s disputes – on both fronts.
Further complicating all this is that Eric will also try to sort out the awful spat between Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Katie Spencer (Heather Tom). Eric will have his hands full with both the brother feud and the sister feud.
With Ridge and Rick, there’s no telling who will come out on top. Rick is desperate to regain control of Forrester Creations – as is Maya. And Ridge still has to deal with the inevitable reveal that Caroline’s baby is Thomas Forrester’s (Pierson Fode).
That paternity tidbit may be the chink in Ridge’s armor that allows Rick to topple Ridge from the CEO chair and take what he sees is his rightful place helming the family business. The renewed battle for control of the family business and the family residence will start soon.
