The Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) returns to Bravo tonight with all new Wednesday, July 6, season 8 episode 14 called, “The Benefits of Friendship,” and we have your weekly The Real Housewives of New York recap below. On tonight’s episode, despite her health issues, Bethenny Frankel glams it up for a Skinnygirl event at Dylan’s Candy Bar.
On the last episode, Carole met up with old friend Heather Thomson for a winter ice skate in the park. On tonight’s episode as per the Bravo synopsis, “despite her health issues, Bethenny glams it up for a Skinnygirl event at Dylan’s Candy Bar. With their friendship back on track Ramona and Sonja upgrade their moves with a dance lesson. Jules’s sees her plastic surgeon to get an update on her injury.
Later, Carole accompanies Bethenny when she gets a second opinion on her health issues. After a get together, Dorinda clues Luann into the rumors that Ramona has been spreading about her. When the ladies get together for drinks, Luann confronts Ramona and Sonja shares shocking news about her relationship with Tom, Luann’s boyfriend.”

This week on The Real Housewives of New York Bethenny heads into work. She is anxious about her surgery, but she is launching a Skinny Girl clothing line. The crew asks her about the surgery and she tells them that the girls are being super sweet, especially Ramona.
Ramona and Sonja meet up with one of the dancers from a sushi bar to take dance lessons. Ramona says “We love to dance, but it never hurts to update our dance moves. Nothing too risque, but something appropriate for women our age.” They start the lesson and Sonja says “I don’t know who the better dancer is, but Ramona is spastic. I have been told I was a good dancer, but that was mostly by men who just wanted to get me into bed.” After the lesson, the two ladies are talking and Ramona says “It’s ironic because a couple months ago everyone was worried about you, and now no one wants to deal with LuAnn.” Sonja says “I think she is just nervous about getting married and is focused solely on Tom. I think we need to support her.” Ramona says “That’s part of the problem. She is so focused on getting married and her new man that her friendships are being neglected.”
Bethenny’s launch is a huge success. She has invited Carole and Carole is excited to see her stepping out. She sees Bethenny in the red wig and says “There goes my girl. It’s good to see her stepping it up.” Bethenny says “These launches are all work and no play. I usually don’t invite my friends, but I just wanted Carole to be here and see it.” After the launch, the two women are sitting down talking about Bethenny’s upcoming surgery. Bethenny tells her “I am so nervous and so scared I just don’t know what to do.” Carole tells her “We are here for you.” Bethenny says “It is just a three-day surgery but I am scared to death.”
Jules goes to the Dr. for a check up on the injury to her vagina. She is worried it won’t go back to it’s normal size. The plastic surgeon tells her “It looks so much better. i have some ointment that i am going to give you and you will be just fine.”Bethenny and Carole are in the car. Bethenny tells her “This surgery is a major surgery.” Bethenny says “So many people have said that I need to get a second opinion.” Carole says “That’s crazy. Does she know you have been bleeding for three weeks?” Bethenny tells her “Yes. She says that’s normal after you remove the IUD.” Bethenny goes to see another Dr. and tells her what has happened to her over the past few weeks and she tells her about the options that were given to her by her OB/GYN.
Bethenny tells her that she has made the decision to have the fibroid tumors removed. The Dr. says “We can try treatments to treat your progesterone. This should help stop the bleeding. We will also try some pills and I want you to come back in ten days to see how you are progressing.” Bethenny feels relieved to hear that the surgery is not needed right then. She says “I feel like I found a Dr. who told me what I wanted to hear. No surgery? Ok great thanks, Dr.” She asks the Dr if Carole looks like her wife. The Dr. laughs and says “Is she?” All three women laugh and Bethenny tells her “No.”

The Dr. laughs and says “Is she?” All three women laugh and Bethenny tells her “No.”
Bethenny is at home and all of the ladies show up to check up on her. She tells them all about the Drs. appointment and how the Dr. told her to wait. After that they moved on to talk about LuAnn. Carole says “LuAnn has not reached out in a genuine way to try to mend fences.” Dorinda says “I don’t know why we are talking about this again and now there are going to be amendments to the apology? No. It’s over and done.” The ladies continue to talk about it and Ramona tells them about her conversation at her party. They all talk about how narcissistic LuAnn is. Dorinda says “I can’t relate to the LuAnn that they are talking about because I never knew her as the countess. I have only known her as Lu.”
Dorinda meets up with LuAnn for lunch. LuAnn is sick and tells her “You might not want to get to close because I’m sick. Dorinda tells her “I don’t care.” The two women hug and Dorinda says “I am having a dinner. You are going to come right?” LuAnn says “I don’t know because i am not feeling well and Tom’s not here.” Dorinda tells her “I want everyone to come together and put their big girl pants on and work this out.” LuAnn says “I don’t want to be friends with these women. They are all jealous because I am falling in love and there is a certain feeling of it should be me.” Dorinda says “I think you should come, have a drink and say your peace.” LuAnn says “Say my Lpeace about what?” She then tells Dorinda “If i do come i need you to play referee.” night of the dinner everyone arrives. They are trying to get settled around the table and Carole and LuAnn end up sitting next to each other. Bethenny asks her “Did you move in with your boyfriend?”
LuAnn says “Yes. I now live on the upper East side with a beautiful view and a terrace.” All of the ladies congratulate her. LuAnn goes on to say “Tom has never been married so he has never done the wife and kids and dog bit.” Carole asks “Do you think he is ready?” LuAnn says “He is out ring shopping right now.” Carole congratulates her and LuAnn goes on to gush about how happy she is.” LuAnn says “Out of a table full of women the only one to be happy for me is Carole. I am pleasantly surprised.”Sonja arrives and everyone is a little uncomfortable. Bethenny says “When Sonja came to my office I was really upset and stern with her. She has been apologizing and I don’t want this hanging over us anymore.”

LuAnn confronts Ramona about not having her back. She tells her “Dorinda says that you don’t have my back.” Ramona looks a little stunned. LuAnn tells her “Dorinda told me that you said something about me acting a certain way.” Ramona says “I never said that.” She wonders “Is Dorinda trying to stir the pot? LuAnn and I are in a good place. Why would she try to ruin that?” LuAnn tells her “Don’t talk about me behind my back. If you have something to say to me, say it to my face.” She also tells her “If you ‘re my friend then defend me as my friend.” Bethenny speaks up and says “The three of you live in a very small world.
