#VoiceLive starts with a word about the loss of Prince and a purple lit stage. Adam says he was one of his most profound musical influence on him and said Prince always did things his way and made amazing music without ever changing anything about who he was.

Pharrell says his aunts got records in the mail and when Purple Rain came, it played the rest of the summers of his childhood and will never forget Darlin’ Nikki or I Would Die 4 U. He says every time he sees purple, he will think of Prince.

Christina says every generation to come will remember him and says no matter what age or era, his songs would be a hit and calls Prince timeless and legendary. She says she loved his passion for artists’ rights and there was nothing manufactured about what Prince stood for.

Blake says he wishes he would have had a chance to meet Prince and says he can speak only as a fan. He says his music can change his day and his mood anytime he hears and says he was larger than life and now he’s gone and it’s a shock and upsetting.

First up tonight is Shalyah Fearing who is doing Miley Cyrus’ The Climb. Adam is on his feet clapping as she finishes up what is an amazing performance and the crowd is on their feet cheering. Blake says her voice is developing before their eyes and she sounded great.

He says that performance was so true to her story and will continue to be as she goes on her journey. Christina, her former coach, says beautiful rendition and Miley will be proud. She says she wanted this moment for her and says climb to that next level.

She says it was nice to hear something different than her gospel choices. Pharrell, her other former coach, says it was different and he agrees with Christina but he still felt the gospel influence and says she sealed it with the last night note.

Adam says he loves her and she’s amazing and says Pharrell said it right and says what she’s been through and is going through, she’s an embodiment of this song and her talent is unbelievably advanced. He says he can’t wait to see her keep growing and changing.

The next artist is Pharrell’s comeback artist Daniel Passino who is singing Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time. He’s doing a version that Pink did. It’s a really cool version with mostly string instruments and the crowd really sigs it. Pharrell is on his feet for Daniel as he finishes.

Blake comments first and says he’s so smooth and his voice is strong. He also comments on him flirting with the ladies. Former coach Christina says Pharrell deserves kudos for giving him spot on notes and criticism plus encouragement and says he’s blossomed with him.

She says Pharrell pushes him and that money note at the end was everything. Pharrell says he made that his own even though it was inspired by Pink and says the crowd was still clapping while he was singing and says Damn Daniel.

Paxton Ingram is next from Team Blake and he’s doing Break Every Chain by Tasha Cobbs. Paxton rocks the house and Blake is on his feet clapping – as are the other coaches. It’s a four coach standing ovation and the crowd is loud with cheers.

Pharrell says dude, bro that was like an unleashing of power and says the modulation was genius to Blake’s credit and says wow. He says he was the freest he’s seen him and now American know who Paxton is and says congratulations.

Adam says he’s an amazing performer and this was the perfect song and it blew him away. He says he hates to give Blake credit but they put together an amazing situation and also gives Pharrell some props then it’s the coach’s turn.

Blake says Pharrell was great and says it was incredible and he really opened up his heart for the first time this season. Blake gives him a big hug as he leaves the stage.

Owen Danoff from Team Adam is next and he’s doing James Taylor’s Fire and Reign. Adam was surprised since he’s never been able to get clearance for it before. He does a beautiful job on this gorgeous song and the crowd loves him.

Christina says she’s glad he made it through and calls it a nice job. She says he’s such a storyteller and keeps it simple yet strong. She calls it well executed but also liked him moving around last week and calls him versatile and says nice song choice.

Coach Adam says he’s happy and got lucky with him and the other artists this season and says he has a lot in common with him musically. He says he loves that version and says he’s something different from others on the show and he’s happy to represent that.

Mary Sarah from Team Blake is up and she’s doing Johnny and June by Heidi Newfield. She takes the stage and does a lovely job with the tribute song. Blake is on his feet clapping as she finishes and there’s a healthy amount of applause.

Christina says she keeps introducing her to new songs and says she loved Walk the Line. She says it’s beautiful, consistent and strong. Pharrell says he never heard the song so doesn’t know how to judge it but her higher register was up there and he gives it to her for that.

Pharrell adds that her dress is very distracting and she thanks him and shimmies. Blake says settle down Pharrell then tells her this is her moment and she moves the dial tonight and she’ll see it tonight on iTunes. He says she made it her own and asks if she yodels.

Next is Alisan Porter from Team Christina who is doing Stay with Me Baby by Lorraine Ellison, an old soul song. As usual her big voice rocks the house down to the rafters. Christina is on her feet cheering and the other coaches are up too. The cheers won’t stop coming.

Adam shushes the crowd then says he digs her so much and says he prefers to be right about who will win when they are on his team. Adam says he still believes this and says he thinks she will win it and deserves it.

Blake says they don’t see growth in her performance because there’s nowhere to go and Adam says he wishes he could lie and say she wasn’t great. Blake says he likes that she owned this moment and congratulates her for it.

Christina says she’s unbelievable and says she walked away from show business for family and says she knows she misses her kids but they see her doing what she wants and says she loves her and it was phenomenal.

Bryan Bautista from Team Christina is next and he’s doing Bruno Mars Just the Way You Are. He does a really cool different take on the song. It has a cool big band feel. He kills with his falsetto as he serenades his sister who is in the crowd.

Pharrell says that was effortless and says the power in his upper register is crazy. Christina and Adam agree. Pharrell says the arrangement was perfect and the note at the end was sick then he added a super colorful ending and says he’s headed for pop music and it’s where he belongs for sure.

Adam says he has the greatest range of anyone and his upper register is pristine and powerful even when he goes crazy high and calls him an astonishing talent. Christina says it was silky smooth and the choices were right.

She says it’s hard what he does and how accurate he is and says he did it for his sister. She says he’s old school and can deliver anything and says he had a Marvin Gaye moment and says there’s nothing he can’t do.

Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield is next and he’s doing Journey’s Lights. It’s very different from the original and Adam is up in a falsetto and is going something totally different for him. Blake is on his feet clapping and the crowd appreciates it.

Pharrell says man what… then says dude okay you have a classic voice that’s straight out of Southern rock from the 70s and has some Steve Winwood in him. He says the false was soulful and he made that song his own and says Big Machine should be watching him right now.

Adam Levine says damn and says he’s amazing and he looks one way and leans one way with music but this dude does everything and says in one performance he traversed a lot of musical ground and can do it all and calls it amazing and says he can’t think of anything he can’t do.

Coach Blake says the amazing thing about Adam is he has this opportunity and there’s always more he can give so it keeps you on the edge of your seat and you give the big moment when it counts and says the falsetto and runs make him where he can’t even think.

Next up is Team Christina’s Nick Hagelin who is doing a song for his son who just broke his shin. He’s doing John Mayer’s Your Body is a Wonderland. This is the first time he’s played the guitar and the crowd absolutely loves it and they cheer.

Blake starts to speak but the cheers keep coming. Blake says he likes this with the guitar and really connecting with the song and says it’s one of his better performances and it’s like Jason Bourne came in, rocked the house then ran out and shot some people.

Adam mocks him and calls him funny. Coach Christina says she’s a huge fan of his on stage and off. She says he brings an energy onstage and it so lovable. She says that’s why he has such a following now and the crowd breaks out in cheers again.

Hannah Huston is next from Team Pharrell and she’s doing Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me and says it’s the kind of song she wants to write. She really does justice to an amazing song and the crowd won’t stop cheering as Adam tries to make his comments.

Adam says what’s great about her is that she can sing so proficiently but she still has a unique character in her voice and says she knocks him out every time. Pharrell says he knows all of Nebraska is standing up right now and says it was eloquent and she was patient in the song.

He says man as a preschool teacher, where does all that feeling come from and says please everyone vote for her.

Team Adam’s Laith Al-Saadi will close out the show and he’s chosen Make It Rain by Ed Sheeran. He says Adam wanted him to do something contemporary since he’s been doing classics. He takes the stage and does a very bluesy version of the Sheeran song. Adam is on his feet cheering.

Blake says it’s funny to see his backstory and him saying he’s honored America voted him through and says the coaches can’t wait to see what he does each time and calls him a breath of fresh air. Pharrell mentions Laith former records and says go both those to the crowd.

Adam says you’re amazing and I love you. Laith says he loves him too. Carson reminds us that voting is open on the app, the NBC website and iTunes.

THE END!
