The Walking Dead Season 6 Finale Spoilers: Negan Takes Aim at Glenn, Daryl, Aaron and Abraham - Who Dies?

“The Walking Dead” spoilers for the Season 6 finale on Sunday April 3 reveal that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will use beloved bat Lucille to take out one of Rick Grimes’ (Andrew Lincoln) people, but who will dance with death? Looks like it’s one of four men…

While we know a wide array of Alexandrians will be captured by Negan and The Saviors, there are many we can take off the list. Once we do, we are pared down to Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Aaron (Ross Marquand) and Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz).

Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and the women are not on Negan’s list. He may be sadistic, but he’s got a code of ethics as skewed as it is and kids and women aren’t ones he typically kills. And Negan doesn’t want to kill Rick because Alexandria needs a leader to keep producing for Negan.

Plus, in TWD spoilers audio from the final scenes of the show, we hear women screaming in protest as the beating happens. Here’s why we think it’s down to Glenn, Daryl, Aaron and Abraham and who we think buys it…

Glenn is on borrowed time. He barely escaped a walker mob by dumpster diving and we already acclimated to his death once so we are prepared to handle this. Plus, Glenn buys it in the books. They have been shaking things up, though, so Glenn may survive. We give him a 15% chance of dying.

Daryl has been shot already. Some TWD fans thought he died already but nah. Daryl isn’t in the comics, so there’s no info there. Daryl is a fan fave but also has a new AMC show coming. His story, frankly, has also slowed down to boring. We give him a 25% chance of dying.

Abraham is also on borrowed time. Dr Denise (Merritt Wever) took the eye arrow Abraham got in the novels. But it would be a damned shame to kill off the guy with some of the best dialog on the show and who’s in a hot bromance with Eugene (Josh McDermitt). We give Abraham a 12.5% shot at dying.

Aaron, though, is our hot candidate for many reasons. First, he’s regularly seen enough to be considered a “major” character without being one of Rick’s core crew. Second, he can be bludgeoned without garnering a huge amount of fan outrage. We give Aaron a 47.5% shot at death.

All of this being said, it would be a damned shame if we wait many long months for the Season 7 TWD premiere only to find out we lost what is essentially an ancillary character in Aaron when, in the graphic novels, it was a brutal beating and murder of a beloved character.

Glenn would be the most poignant death since Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) is carrying his child and is in distress. Plus, in the audio spoiler, you can hear Glenn fighting with Saviors to try and protect Maggie. However, it feels like TWD showrunners are veering intentionally away from the comics.

Bottom line is that killing Glenn would be the best route to go, in terms of impact. But showrunners just may not do it. Andrew Lincoln, Lauren Cohan, and Norman Reedus have all teased that the finale sickened them. That seems to contraindicate it being Daryl.

And, really, any brutal beating would be amazing. But if the showrunners really want to go somewhere insane, it would be Michonne (Danai Gurira) that falls to Negan’s but. There’s also the possibility that showrunners have not yet decided who dies…

There’s every indication viewers will be clueless who dies until season 7 – TWD spoilers say we see Lucille come crashing down from the POV of the victim then fade to black. That allows showrunners the latitude to see how fans react before they film the results. Season 7 should start filming in May.

What do you think Walking Dead fans? Do you think Glenn will die as in the books? Or Abraham or Daryl – both fan faves? Or will showrunners take the easy out and choose Aaron? Or could they take a “wait and see” approach and hold off on a decision until shooting for Season 7 starts?
